In March of this year we did a cruise which included Beijing and Shanghai. Rather than pay the very expensive prices of the ships tours we decided to use the China Guide. We were very impressed with the flexibility they provide, allowing us to decide exactly where we wanted to go and where we wanted to stay. Our tour in Beijing was excellent - could not have asked for more. We were late off the ship so time was a bit tight but we managed to see everything we wanted and a little bit more. The guide, Fiona, was brilliant, cheerful, helpful and full of information. We saw the main sites and enjoyed every minute of it. it was a 2 day tour finishing at the great wall. We managed, thanks to Fiona, to miss the queues and this saved a lot of time. We also used China Guide for Shanghai. This was a larger group and our guide Andy coped well with some slightlfy diffcult members. Again the sites were amazing and we saw everything we wanted and a bit more.
The China Guide office staff, particularly Yan Ban who dealt with our tours, were very helpful and the correspondence, by e-mail, was very quick. We found it best to contact in the mornings and they often got back to us within a couple of hours. The prices come down the more people are on the tour and if others, outsiders, want to join in they will ask if you are happy with this so you have a lot of control over the size of your group and what you do. RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WANTING TO SEE THE LOVELY SITES OF CHINA.
