“perfect for airport close stay”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

i used the hotel for a one night stay in beijing between two flights. the hotel is close to the airport, a shuttle service exist and works nice (in may case on a hourly base or on call).

it is important to have a chinese phone, the driver will call you back.

from the hotel to terminal 3 the bus needs about 15 minutes.

the hotel is a 4 star hotel, it is more or less new. the hotel is well equiped, lan is properly working (but the usual ports are blocked). wifi is available but only working near the lobby.

a large and (very) good breakfast buffet is offered, which was suprising me in combing chinese and western cookings etc.

the hotel is close to the airport, it is so close that you can see for a few seconds the 30 mtr. above flying landing aircrafts. yes this is very loud, but .... if you know it, you can acccept this. in my case i had no problem with this fact, going to bed about 1am i was surprised that also from this time no aircrafts arrive but to the morning about 7.00 am, then some aircrafts are using this way (every 10 minutes). if you can not accept this or being able to ignore this deep sound ... choose another hotel.

overall: for me a perfect choice, especially in combination of the location and the price which was about less 70 euro including breakfast and cancellation option (up to three days before).

+: cheap, good service, room "good" to "very good", nice bathroom, not far from airport, beds are soft (compared to hard beds in most chinese hotel)
-: noise of the flights landing most part of the night! excepting this, the hotel is very good!
=: I recommend it, but you have to accept and know the downside before

fact to know: I stayed 1 night after a late arrival flight in Beijing (1 a.m). I paid 382 CNY without 15% tax on booking.com for a double bedroom Superior.

Staff can speak good english even at 1-2 a.m. !! :)

The hotel has good services, room are nice/good value and bathroom is comfortable. I really have nothing to complain about the hotel amenities and comfort except the noise of the flights landing most of the night, but you expect it as it is next to the airport. I could sleep well because I was tired due to my flight trip, but if noise is a BIG problem, do not stay there. If you can afford a bit of noise, it is ok to sleep there!

The hotel is not far from the airport but shuttle of the hotel are not convenient for very early or very late transport to the airport. You will still need a taxi and this is the problem!

TAXI: they don't like to go to this hotel because not far enough and they will ask you more than taximeter (I talked 20 minutes with taxi drivers at the airport and a kind of taxi officer (but not police) finally forced one to bring me there! Finally, for a bit more, I could stay in northern part of the city!

Finally, the main problem comes from an external factor of the hotel, so if you need to sleep close to the airport, the hotel is a good value and I recommend it. But it is not a hotel for a long stay or for visiting Beijing knowing you will need taxi as nothing is around the hotel...

I had been staying in 3-star hotels in Northeast China, and this was a definite huge step up. The shuttle was prompt and easy to find (it took 15 minutes from the time I called after I claimed my bags). The internet connection required a plug-in (no wi-fi) but it was relatively fast and reliable. Staff spoke little English, but check-in was smooth nonetheless. There was some aircraft noise. One thing that surprised me is that the very helpful bellhop stuck around waiting for a tip. Since tipping is still not in practice in other places I had visited, I was surprised by this - but I guess it was inevitable, and he was thrilled with the 20 rmb I gave him.

The room was clean and the a/c was amazing. There were some signs of hasty building practices - the shower was beautiful but the built-in bench was crooked-ish with a bit of mold starting to form in the grout.

The price was $67USD, which included the free shuttle to and from the airport. In comparison, the other hotel I considered was $160. For the price, I thought this place was fantastic. I will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: I paid an extra 6 bucks to guarantee a non-smoking room.

Very impressed with this hotel. Check-in was very quickl. I'm lucky in that my wife is Chinese so communication was not a problem although a few foreigners were there also and seemed to be managing ok in English. Hotel accepts Mastercard (deposit returned on checkout in cash). ATM in the hotel which is great.

Our room was literally 30 seconds from check-in area so it was really handy. All bags were brought to the room by staff. Room was very clean and well decorated. Beds extremely comfy and the shower was really nice. Staff fixed our tv quickly after I messed with controller. The also fixed a weighing scales (new battery) in the room which was useful for weighing our luggage. Room has WiFi, small fridge and a safe. I found the sound of the planes negligible. I had come from an area which was very noisy however so this place sounded really quiet to me. We also got a portable cot for our youngest which was great.

Went out for a bite to eat. Lots of restaurants nearby and shops (even a Giant bike shop which I had a quick lookaround in). Restaurants are really nice and not too expensive. 3-4 dishes for under 100RMB. Probably best to buy your convenince food in the supermarkets nearby as like most places, the hotels are a bit of a rip off on things like water and ba bao zhou.

Took a free shuttle bus to airport at 6:30 am. Had a wakeup call which was great. Quick and easy checkout.

I stayed here for one night while waiting for a flight connection. It surprised me at the size of the room, and the quality of everything. I had a very large room, with excellent facilities. There was free wifi, and it was faster than most hotels, and easy to setup. There is noise from the aircraft, but you expect this with an airport hotel. And there was free airport transfers every hour. Good value

Very nice if you need to be near the airport.

This hotel is not a million miles from the basic Formula 1 Motel Chain. It has all the hallmarks of a budget hotel, extremely basic room, cleanish but with the usual signs of "lick & promise" seen in these quick turn around joints. Obviously built on the cheap, with grouting splashed up the bathroom walls and sealant smeared around windows etc. Reasonably comfortable, reasonably courteous staff. Oh nearly forgot to mention, The Days Hotel Beijing (New Exhibition Centre) special surprise: It is DIRECTLY under the final approach path to one of the runways. Quadruple glazing wouldn't keep that noise out. I have used a few places at BJ Airiprt and have to tell you there are better hotels. The litmus test question - No, I don't think I'd come back.

Room Tip: Elsewhere if you are a light sleeper!

There was a problem with being picked up by the courtesy bus from the airporrt on arrival. After several phone calls where we promised that we would be collected, in the end, we had to call a cab. However, the hotel staff on arrival were apologetic, refunded the cab fare and sent a complimentary basket of fruit to the room.

Not the easiest place to find - even for the cab drivers, but only 10 minutes from the airport.
