“Forbidden City”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Forbidden City (Imperial Palace). This huge place separated by wall from Tiananmen Square. This is a Chinese jewel of History where you need to spend at least 4 hours.

“Heaven”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

This place was huge and beautiful with all the plants and man made rock formations and like some of the other gardens i visited there are trees that are 200 to 300 hundred years old.The only draw back is if you dont get there in the early am the crowds can be overwhelming. So get around early through the palace and make your way to the gardens.Slide shows of my Beijing trip.

“Best part of the forbidden city”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

The earlier parts of the forbidden city are nice but the garden in the inner courts were the jewel of the forbidden city. Gorgeous rockeries and interesting gardens.

“Gardens from the past - yet still wonderful”
Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

One of the better gardens of the past. Yet, it captured the thinking and cultured thinking of the creator of this garden. Wonderfully displayed stones, boulders and trees. Me sure you have someone who understands the historical value of this garden to explain the history, mystery and mystics of this garden.

Each tree, stone and boulder has a secret to share. Ask and you shall profit intellectually.

Must go visit.

“Cramped and stark”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

The garden looks eerie with a lot of fungous-like stones and no flower in sight. One would like to at least sit a few minutes and meditate on the significance of the site, but it's almost impossible given the crowds and the guides who shout in their microphones.
