It was really neat to see this structure as well as the Olympic village. Our tour guide told us that over the years, it's become more touristy with more vendors. We very much enjoyed it, although it's not centrally located, and you will need a driver or to take the subway.

The Bird's nest stadium and the Water Cube are a most see in Beijing, especially at night! Take the subway line to the Olympic Park and walk around the main buildings!

I didnt enter the attractions as I have been to many stadiums and I believe it is not necessary as the highlight is exactly the architecture.

We went on a crisp fall day. It quite nice, the security was a joke. We couldn't access all the areas because we had a stroller. It took a while to find a working elevator and then it only took us to the 5th floor and back to the main floor.
In the shop the sales people were more interested in staring at my daughter then doing their jobs. There was a neat are with wax figure of the different IOC presidents and info about them. The bathrooms (western style) were clean but the water wasn't running.
Overall it was worth the visit even though there's not a lot to see or do inside.

Love the lighting that glow up in the night. The architecture is far more than my expectation. Take a buggy trip that goes around the stadium and national aquatic stadium which cost about CNY20. It's worth to pay for a ride to see both stunning stadium.

Impressive architecture and engineering, it is a bit smaller than I expected it seemed bigger on TV at the olympic games in 2008. We went inside, but it was more depressive as after 5 years the gloss and glory is gone, another sad example of an olympic effort left to die, a shame for such a beautiful building, no entry to the field and boxes.
Not really worth to pay to get inside, the stadium looks best at night.
Good to reach with underground.
