This stadium built for the purposes of 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing is a gem of a modern architecture. It´s nickname Bird´s Nest just fits perfectly. I think that most people saw it on TV as it became the symbol of the games, but you should go and see it on your visit to Beijing. Just make sure you avoid tons of street merchants who will try to offer you overpriced souvenirs.

The Nestle Stadium is a morderm landmark in Beijing for the 2008 Olympic games. The archetechture are very special and very difficult to construct. It's a must see in Beijing to feel the modern side of the city. The Water Cubic is on the other side of the street. Don't miss both.

If you have any interest in the Olympics or even watched the 2008 games, then I would highly recommend a visit here. The stadium is smaller than I imagined but so much more impressive than when seen on TV.
I loved the architecture, the elegance of the building and the special feeling you get when being at an Olympic site.
We decided not to go inside based on previous reviews, it did seem expensive for what you get. We just enjoyed the beauty from the outside and walking around the stadium.

I bought the through pass to go in the birds stadium and the water cube.

A little disappointed, there's really nothing to see you just walk up the a few floors see the roof and inside and that's about it.

You don't' get to go on the field. It really is a shell of its former self if you were here for the 2008 olympics.

Summary-

Bathrooms inside just have to find one that they didn't lock the door to
Worth just going at night taking a picture from the outside don't bother going in and paying 100 rmb for the through ticket.

We saw this only for an hour as we passed by on our way to the Ming Tombs. Place is very impressive. It's hard not to take a picture of this place. This was used for 2008 Olympics. Ahh, the good memories of their opening/closing ceremony :)
