Black sesame kitchen, once I found it was a revelation in chinese food. You have to enter a courtyard in a hutong and wend your way to the back to locate it. They have one seating a night and it's a communal meal. Lucky for me they could accommodate me the following day and were also very gracious in making adjustments to the menu to accommodate my "no-meat" style of vegetarianism. The sesame ice-cream with caramelised sweet potato was to die-for. I write this review most reluctantly because I want to share the joy but fear the chaos that success will inevitably bring.
