We had a reservation to dine at Black Sesame Kitchen during our recent stay in Beijing, but unfortunately our Chinese guest was hospitalized so we called a few days ahead to cancel our reservation.
We spoke to Michelle, who extended the invitation to keep the reservation--even though it would only be two of us instead of the normal minimum of four persons. We gratefully accepted, but had to cancel yet again when one of us developed food poisoning the day before.
Michelle was kind enough to recommend SOS International, a clinic where we could see an English-speaking doctor who prescribed antibiotics and rehydration salts.
So despite not having the opportunity to sample the food at Black Sesame Kitchen, we want to recognize the fact that the BSK team far exceeded our expectations in the service category with their friendly concern for strangers in need of advice and sympathy.
