Travelled with a colleague - we tried this dish which they say serves 2. Well we ate our fill and there was plenty left.
Wine list can be expensive, however we found one that sat within our budget.
Great views over the city a it lights up too.

Thank Joe B

I recently ate at the China Grill for dinner with workmates. In terms of atmosphere it is awesome, the view from the 65th floor is outstanding and the decor of the restaurant is first rate. The service very awkward, particularly for a western 5 star hotel. Waitress would approach, take the entire order (no warm up appetizers or drinks), bread comes before anything to drink, salad comes mid meal...very wierd and unexpected here. For the price, demand better service but for the view sure its pretty cool.

Excellent restaurant with fantastic views over the Beijing skyline. I was invited by two Chinese colleagues who felt I probably had had enough of the local cuisine ( I had not ), More likely they wanted European food. They also wanted some good wines. The service was very good, not excellent, however the open kitchen style, the quality and freshness of food was top rate. Sometimes an eclectic mish mash of styles fails to deliver quality food in International big cities ( think Moscow ) but this hit the spot. Wild mushrooms, truffles side by side with fresh fish groupa, salmon etc, great steaks and vegetables, all cooked to perfection. Wines started at around $ 75 a bottle and went on upwards., Fortunately one at the cheaper end was a rather good Gruner Veltliner so was happy with that. After dinner hang out at a rather cool bar one floor down where the great and good of Beijing mix with lazy American tourists who can't change from their gym shoes for dinner.

Three of us went to this restaurant. The traditional chinese dishes and seafood entrees were very good, but my friend who ordered the steak wasnt too impressed. it was very pricey. The cost of the meal for three of us more than the cost of the room for a night at Park Hyatt and we weren't extravagant. But the view from the top at night is amazing, you get a beautiful 360 degree view. Service is outstanding.
