“Great Family entertainment for all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013

This was a wonderful way to end our day, an hour and 1/2 of pure entertainment, a great display of balance, strength and long hours of practice. The cast of about 40 put on about dozen different performances, my favorite was the high chair balancing act, which showed great skill in both balancing and strength. Also the young girls balancing by their teeth was very original.

“A spell binding Chinese acrobatic and gymnastic show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

What an entertaining and delightful show! The show will hold you spellbound for its entire duration, somewhat over an hour. Our tour leaders selected seats for us and we are indebted to them for their wise choices, not too close and not too distant.

In this country we tend to overlook the long, successful tradition of acrobatic skills developed by Chinese performers. Tumblers, acrobats, jugglers, cycle riders - all perfectly synchronized, and all outstanding performers and magnificent show people. We were treated to the sights and sounds of extraordinary gymnastic skills, beautiful costumes, dramatic lighting effects synchronized with beautiful music.

The young girls on their bicycles were graceful, polished, delicately balanced, and their timing was impeccable. Similarly, the jugglers and acrobats were unimaginably talented performers.

The climax of the show was 5 death defying motorcycle riders all riding with split second timing inside a compact steel sphere firmly anchored on the stage. One by one they entered the sphere and rode around the inside, seemingly from every direction imaginable , circling one another and never colliding. Spectacular!

Each event was titled, with the title shown on side screens along with the awards won by the acrobatic team in various world gymnastic competitions. What an entertaining and delightful show!

“Chaoyang Theatre Acrobatics Show”

Show and variety of acts was very good. Make sure your tour includes return fare to your hotel -- we didn't read the fine print and were left to our own devices to get back to our hotel -- a little unsettling.

“Spectacular Show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

I love acrobatic shows and this show has some jaw dropping acts. They make Cirque du Soleil look like amateurs. There are no safety harnesses that I saw, which makes these acts not only more difficult, but more dangerous and in turn, more stunning to watch. Among some of the most notable acts were the female ballet dancer dancing and keeping balance on her tip-toes while on a man's head and shoulders and moving around. There was an act with one bike and 20 females riding and balancing on it (how do they do that?) and a man balancing on another guy on their head while going up and down steps. The Chinese are known to be great acrobats and with good reason. Don't miss out on this show especially if you love watching acrobatics.

“Awesome show”

I took my 10 year old son to this show. We loved it! Advice: don't pay extra for premium tickets. The theater is small...save your money and buy the cheap seats!
