5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 24, 2019
We stayed at this place for couple of days and absolutely loved it. Staff are amazing and caring. It is very clean and if you want to stay at a place with history, then this is for you. I would recommend this place and would most definitely go back. Thank you for giving us a great experience to remember.

The hotel is a true hidden treasure to history buff. The property was formerly owned by one of the founding members of qing dynasty. The furniture, including the sandalwood canopy beds, are real antique from the qing dynasty. Its conveniently located for sightseeing. Lots of restaurants around. Modern amenities.

Service at the hotel is splendid. The staffs try their best to accommodate all needs.

Step back in time as you enter a small alley in an old hutong area. Then step into a classic setting that should not be missed. Location great. Service responsive with excellent English. Room configuration perfect for our family of 3. Excellent breakfast with choice of Western or Chinese. In our opinion, a wonderful hotel for the price.

My family and I visited Bejiing for a few days and had an amazing experience at the Sandalwood Boutique Hotel. This was nestled in an ancient Hutong (alley) in a great part of Bejiing. Walking distance from sites, authentic restaurants and the fun bars on the nearby lake. The staff were courteous and spoke wonderful English. The accommodations were modern in the rooms and classic Chinese in the lobby and dining area. Maybe my favorite hotel shower- the shower head was magnificent. WiFi was available in all parts of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and both available in traditional Chinese or western breakfasts.

I’d suggest this place to anyone visiting alone or with family or even on business.

Great find as hotel offered traditional Chinese architecture located in a nice Hutong. Close to the subway station and naturally lots of food options. Our room was furnished with traditional furniture with a seating area with a nice tea set. Breakfast was ample and very delicious, each day we have a different variety of Chinese delicacies. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Once inside the doors of the hotel you are in a peaceful place. The common areas are well decorated. The room was spacious and quiet. The location was near enough to the metro and walking distance to a number of points of interest.

We were able to walk to local shops, restaurants and bars with concern.

The hotel staff were perfect. Attentive to our requests and needs. The hotel also offers activities for free and tour services and car/driver services. Overall, an excellent experience.
