I was put up here by a local company I was visiting and cannot recommend it to anybody. The service was poor with a sullen attitude and very little English. I paid extra for the executive floor but when I tried to enter the lounge for a quick 6am breakfast before my busy day was turned away stating they don't open until 6:30. I pointed to the sign that showed a 6am opening time and the woman just shrugged. Down at the main breakfast area I was shocked to find on two days that they had no milk available for coffee. This boggled my mind as they had a whole selection of cereals laid out. How is this possible that a Holiday Inn in a major city not have milk available for coffee? On two days nonetheless! I couldn't extract any kind of explanation from the wait staff due to their poor english and who gives-a-damn attitude.
The rooms were...ok. Nothing special but no real problems either (aside from a few burnt out light bulbs). Like most Chinese hotels, they were somewhat noisy due to poor insulation but that is par for the course in China.
Bottom line, there are PLENTY of other choices in Beijing so look elsewhere.More
