It is kind of neat to walk up and know that the fastest swimmers in the world used this pool in competition at the Olympics. Being a swimmer myself I would have liked to go in and do a few laps just to feel like an Olympian but based on other reviews stating place being crowded cold water and overpriced fee decided not to go in. Certainly enjoyed walking around and admiring building from outside.

Отличный способ провести пол дня в Пекине. Не верьте тому, что там грязно- во всех зонах идеально чисто. Интересных горок 3, но нужно постоянно подниматься пешком на 5-7 этаж. Бассейн с искусственной волной и демонстрацией происходящего на большой монитор.one of the best ways to spent half day in Beijing. Nice design. 2 interesting and one extreme water slide, but every time you should walk at 5-7 level.Artificial wave Water pool displays on big monitor .

This is a lovely building in the Olympic village, that looks even better after dark.
however, the water park and pools inside it are definitely not recommended.
Just enjoy the beauty of the building from the outside. That's more than enough.

Stop by, take a picture, and then move on. The Cube is near Birds nest Stadium and is nice to walk around.

I wanted to work out during my 2 weeks in Beijing, and this was, apparently, the only place to do so. But they only seem to have recreational hours open for short-term visitors, and a special pass (acquired through a test and extra payment) was required in order to use the deep end.
In short, I had to zig-zag among kids, families and young couples who were moving erratically. In the end, might have swam just 400-500 meters, but it was a pain to even complete this warm-up.
The admission price was quite high. It included locker rental and shower facilities. If you need to buy goggles and a swim cap, be prepared to pay steep "souvenir prices" for them, even if you use kid sizes.
