The google map location of this hotel is wrong! I wonder around quite a while before finding it. Based on google map, this hotel will be about 600m from the subway exit A2. But it's actual location is about another 200-300m away. And with exit A2 being the furthest exit from the actual train, you will have to walk about 1km or more to the hotel after alighting the train. There is an overhead bridge that you need to cross as well after coming out of exit A2. Therefore it will take about 20min to walk to the hotel from the moment you alight the train.

This will explain the price of about S$30/night cost that I only need to pay for a King bed room type. It is cheap but I cannot see the point to spending too much time to get back to the hotel in the middle of the day for a rest. The room itself is clean but small for a king room (I was alone, so that's fine). As others said, the towel is too small. I do not need the room clean everyday and so left the Do Not Disturn sign on the door when I leave the room in the day. When I got back, the sign is still on the door but the room cleaned. Not a big deal to me but some people may mind it.

Will definitely not stay here again due to the location. By paying a but more, there are other better options in terms of location and about same quality.

It is located in a quiet part of town and not bad once you explore the area at all. It took the taxi driver from the airport a while to find the place as it is slightly hidden down the side road.

It is a 10 minute walk to the Temple of Heaven complex and Taintandongmen metro station. At the end of the road, you will find the famous Pearl Market (Fake everything market!) and quite a few places to eat including a McDonald's, Starbucks, KFC and a good bakery.

The staff all speak English and can help you if you need something, the rooms are not overly big but will do if you are staying a few nights. The room had a TV, air con and good wi-fi.

It is about a 20 min metro ride to get into Tienanmen Square and surrounding areas. The only negative point I would say about the place is that people come and go at all hours, so you can hear families shouting/kids playing in the corridors quite early in the morning.

Agree with most that others have said and will try to say a few different things. A low key Chinese neighbourhood with small shops and eateries was very pleasant. Clearer information about the location with a clear map would be helpful. The accommodation was cheap, cheerful and clean. No frills at all. Small TV, which I never used. As others have said, towels are (too) small, and it would raise the price very little to provide proper size towels. A fridge in the room would also have been good, but of course would also raise the cost. What they did provide was the best WiFI I found anywhere in Beijing and you could use this with more than one device, too. A good choice overall if you're looking for cheap, basic accommodation in an area with a local, untouristy atmosphere.

This place is a really good base for Beijing - it is not far from a metro and the biggest 'fake market' (the pearl market) although it is certainly not the most interesting or charming of areas. The staff are friendly, the place is really clean (although a glass wall between the bedroom and toilet does prevent ANY privacy from your room mate and their ablutions...

It's a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro, via Hongqian market, and you can be in the middle of Dongsheng in 20 minutes. There's plenty of good Chinese food options on the street, a great fruit shop and McDonalds, KFC and Starbucks for when you have a hangover. For good value and a clean room in Beijing you can't go wrong with this place.

Stayed here for 7 nights whilst travelling through China. The staff couldn't speak much English but they tried their best to communicate with us and were very friendly, giving us a stuffed panda as a welcome gift. Rooms were cleaned every day, they weren't huge but were fully equipped with everything we needed. Good bathroom, kettle, TV etc. although no storage for clothes. Only hand towels provided but complimentary toiletries in bathroom. Wifi in room was brilliant. Was quite far from the Metro, but walkable in about 15 mins, with loads of shops and restaurants on the way. We had a pleasant stay would definitely stay here again if in Beijing.

Whenever I come to China alone for leisure, my first choice is the kind of chain budget inn which is talking about RMB100-230 per night only. Well-organized, clean, functional, safe, basic, great price, strategic location are their labels. In my extensive travel experience, this kind of great value for money is available only in China. This time, I tried "Bestay" brand. I got what I needed, satisfied.

I booked online. Their website required me to provide a mobile phone number OF CHINA. I don't have so I simply randomly filled in a 11-digit number in order to finish the reservation. I don't know if it's for this reason that I was told upon arrival that my reservation was not found though I got a print-out with my booking number. Anyway there was vacancy and I was then a walk-in guest.

Location: In 15 min walking distance from the entrance (called East Entrance) of Temple of Heaven/Tiantan Park/Exit A2 of Tiantan metro station. There are some restaurants/stalls on the long street in front of this inn. Two or three are decent, others no good. Hongqiao Market is 7 mins away on foot. This market is a shopping wonderland and should not be missed (I say so even I come from Hong Kong, the Shopping Paradise!). I bought a white beautiful sports watch at bargained price RMB120, very happy. Besides watches, there are phones, other electronics, spectacles, souvenirs, clothings, jewelleries, accessories etc. Don't forget to bargain.

Room of this inn basic, ok clean, functional, shower strong, a towel, kettle, TV (Chinese channels only), no toiletries (but you can buy them at lobby at low price). There's air con but I just opened the window (it's with a mosquito net) to let fresh air in.

Staff friendly and helpful. There is a free computer at lobby.
