We arrived at Beijing Airport at 2.30am and even so were picked up (driver wanted only tip we were asked for in whole of China trip though). Efficiently returned to the airport next day

Nice, spacious, clean and quiet room.

Despite a sign in English stating that the payment by credit card was just a "pre-payment" it turned out tobe a full, unreturnable payment. Rather irritating as we wanted to get rid of the last of our Renminb.

A good choice if you want a hotel near the airport.

A colleague and I stayed at the Stay One Boutique Hotel while in transit from the Beijing Airport to the South train station. As prearranged they met us at our 10:30 PM arrival with a sign( didn't have to call), took our bags, and loaded us in a van for a short ride to the hotel which is very near the SinoSwiss Hotel. The ladies at check-in were very helpful in locating the envelope with our train tickets that had been delivered to the hotel Communication was a bit of a problem due to their lack of English and my horrible attempts at Chinese.
The room which overlooked a small street was very nicely decorated. A somewhat funky and welcome change from the usual. The bed was great, floor was clean, and bathroom was well accessorized.
The buffet breakfast was typical Chinese and a bit limited compared to larger hotels.
The price for a room seems to vary depending on how you book. we booked through TCBooking and paid 438 yuan and were a bit surprised that an extra 20 was added on for breakfast. I'll probably shop better next time TCBooking did the entire transfer package -reserved the hotel, purchased the D-train tickets, and had them delivered to the hotel. Everything happened as planned which is great for jet lagged travelers one of whom was in China for the first time.
The hotel also arranged a car for us the next day to go to the airport. I always get nervous when the "taxi" has no meter and the driver seems to know the hotel staff quite well. The driver has most helpful in loading all of our big bags ( we were packed for a year in one case and 12 weeks in the other). He drove us to the station, parked, and carried our bags to the correct gate. It really made the anticipated transfer very easy. Okay, so he charged 220 yuan when you expect a cab to be 100 yuan. I kept telling myself that this is about $35 usd and a lot less that similar service say from JFK to downtown Manhattan.
I'll stay there again in 2 months when I meet my wife for a repeat of the trip. I'll book cheaper-with breakfast and take an official taxi we won't have much luggage and I now know getting around Beijing South staition is really easy.

Stayed at this hotel twice in July. It's great if you have an early flight out from the Beijing airport. If you don't, there are probably better places to stay.

It's in a residential neighborhood without many tourist facilities. It's neighborhood eateries (mostly steet carts and a few food stalls... not really anything I'd call a "restaurant", though there is a fancy hotel within easy walking distance which likely has food) that cater mainly to folks who live in the neighborhood. Farily quiet with less road noise and airport noise than you would expect. Cabs can be very difficult to catch.

The Lobby is bad. Dark, dingy, hot, and quite unappealing. Check in takes longer, a lot longer, than most Chinese hotels. It has the worst breakfast buffet I've seen in China (very few items and not very good ones at that). Elevators could use cleaning, but the worked fine. All the public areas are kind of dreary.

The rooms are better than the public areas. They're pretty big. I stayed in one which was kind of artsy with purple walls and ceiling (including white trip that extended from one to the other) and high gloss purple tiles in the bathroom (which is kind of a glass box in the middle of the bedroom... it's actually large and modern). The other was kind of a dingy brown and had a shower that overflowed into the rest of the bathroom. Not badly equipped with a hard, but not horrible, bed, and adequate pillows, towels, etc. AC worked fine, as did internet, and TV. Both rooms were hot on arrival but cooled off quickly.

If you're not flying out of the airport, I think you can do better. It's only convenient to the airport, and it's nothing to write home about. But, for an early morning flight, it enables you to avoid just about all the traffic (which can be severe), I think the "botique" thing is kind of artsy/minimalist/modern. Not entirely sure.

Wouldn't spend a vacation here, but will stay here again when I have early morning flights out of Beijing.

The first impression of the beat up shuttle bus made us skeptical. The hotel is fairyly new, but maintenance must not be on the agenda. The lobby in general needs a good cleaning and the carpet to the elevators is just plain gross. The rooms were somewhat better, however, we had to be moved to another room since the air conditioning didn't work in the first one. Check in and out was lengthy and unorganized. Be prepared, little or no english spoken. 12 people crammed into the shuttle van (think its meant to hold 9)back to the airport for early flights....two vans in the parking lot, but only one used. Left too early for breakfast and were told we'd have a boxed breakfast, but none appeared...proabably for the best anyway! Usually like to stay in local hotels and avoid chains, but maybe should have gone with the Hilton in this case.
