West International Trade Hotel

We stayed at the West Trade International as part of a Sinorama tour for 4 nights beginning 12OCT12. Nice hotel, spacious rooms, nice breakfast. However the location was near nothing (except auto dealerships and repair shops) and it would be nice if someone at the reception or concierge desk spoke english! 50 minute cab ride from Airport.

I stayed in this hotel for five nights last month after it was selected for me by business associates. Although a little out of the way it did have a small supermarket and pharmacy nearby.

The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained although the non smoking floor was in need of a face lift and appeared tired. The room itself was very large and amenities were restocked daily without and problems, the only gripe was that the towels were not absorbent although white and thick. The bed was the right firmness and at night you could not hear guests returning to their rooms.

Restaurants, all three of them, were good and the breakfast buffet consisted of everything you could wish for, coffee varied in consistency, but the hot selections changed daily.

There was a huge indoor swimming pool complex which was free to guests on the ground floor, great for families and another deeper pool off to the side for more serious swimmers.

The front desk staff were excellent and went out of their way to assist, check in was a breeze which is greatly appreciated after a long haul flight. The public areas were huge and were always being cleaned.

Would not hesitate to return if the opportunity arises.

I stayed here again on business in August for 4 nights due to its close proximity to the local office I was working at and it remains a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacoius and clean, well decorated and comfortable.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpfull. The food in general is good with breakfast plentyful and varied enough for all tastes. Internet is free and easily acessible but limited in some areas for business use.
I used the swimming pool this time and during the week it is quiet, well maintained and free for hotel guests.
The only negatives are that the hotel is miles from anywhere (1.5hrs from the airport on weekday mornings) and the TV channels are not international so no English speaking news channels if that is something you look for.
Still a nice place to stay and I will go back again for my next visit because I think it is the best option in the area.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Hotel was very accomodating for Candian visitors. The information desk was helpful with maps and directions. Morning breakfast buffet had all of our favorites. The pool and spa area looked very luxurious but I didn't have enough time to enjoy it. Rooms were very nice and included tea kettle and refridgerators

We were there because of a Tour.
The hotel is great: clean, new set-up and decor, amnenities are all included. Nice room and bathroom; size is great. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
However, there is nothing to do around aside from a convenience store.

A recommandation: buffet must be kept hot. Most of the food was always near cold.

Beijing is huge, and this hotel is appr 45 min drive (depending on traffic) from the center of town. Area not very good to go exploring. Very nice decor, great breakfast buffet !! The rooms are beautiful, however, the beds are hard as a rock !! Literally....Loved the bathroom and the amenities. 3 ATM machines on site was appreciated also. Great pool and spa area.
