This hotel has an excellent responsive staff. The rooms are large, as are the bathrooms, and fairly clean. The food is a nice blend of Western and Chinese. It's quiet and accessible, especially if you don't mind walking a bit. Ah, but the beds, as throughout China, can make the bones ache after awhile.

This hotel appears to be aimed at business travellers. It can be a problem getting a non-smoking room that doesn't have a residual smell of tobacco. Infact, people smoked even in the elevator, so it's a natural 'hazard' at this stage in Beijing. Otherwise, room was clean, large, and with good amenities. I was given a 50% discount because of the smell in the room. I stayed for 2 nights. The location was useful and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby.

I recently stayed at the Ruyi Business Hotel for 9 nights in order to visit my daughter who is studying at nearby Capital Normal University. The hotel is generally clean, (excluding the carpet in my room). The bathroom is good size with a large glassed in shower. Good water pressure and a nice hot shower every day. The only problem was the bottom of the shower leaked so the bathroom floor was covered in water after every shower. Big comfortable bed. I requested a non smoking room. I am not sure that I received one as there were clean ashtrays scattered around. The floor I was on was definitely not non smoking. The smoke scent from other rooms woke me up most nights. With 80 degree weather, I inquired about air conditioning in my room and was told it was not working. The only thing I could do was open a window. Perhaps the government controls the AC?? I was under the impression that there would be English speaking employees in the lobby/check in. This was not the case. Regardless, the hotel was a decent value based on American standards. Hair conditioner and body lotion are not provided in the room. Also, the first day I received coffee packets but after that only tea as they had run out of coffee.

I was a group leader for an EF tour, and my students and I really liked this hotel. The location was good, between the 2nd and 3rd ring, next to a bank and across the street from a supermarket. The room was large, by North American standards, as was the very nice bathroom with excellent water pressure (no hair conditioner, though). Yes, the beds are firm, but still really comfortable (all my students agreed). Some rooms come with a computer for internet (no wifi in rooms). The construction is done (no noise) but the walls are thin in some rooms. The buffet breakfast is really good, with a good combination of Chinese and North American food, and all my students, even the picky ones, ate well. The front desk clerks, as many mentioned, don't speak English, but they change money from a variety of different currencies, although you'll pay for that convenience. All in all, I was really comfortable and happy during my stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a computer for internet if you don't plan on bringing a laptop or tablet. A...

Like many I was on a EF tour. Not sure about location because we were always getting on a tour bus. Only wifi was in lobby Rooms were clean and good size and good bathroom. I thought breakfast was a good combo of western and eastern style food. It was a good intro into Chinese food ( not the American kind ). Try the hot soy milk delish and the coffee was good too. There was a bank next door which is in English. If your on a tour, you will be ok with this place.

I traveled to this Beijing for a conference and needed to find a place to stay in a pinch. This hotel was recommended to me by the conference organizer, so I decided to give it a shot.

Do not assume that the front desk staff is fluent in English, although with a bit of patience, they can prove very helpful. For example, I needed to hail a cab to take me to the Philippine embassy for business, and someone from the front desk stood outside in the hot sun for 20 minutes trying to flag a cab for me. Was very humbled and grateful for that.

The rooms are pretty clean and modern, accented with Chinese furniture, to remind you that you may be in a modern hotel, but it's still a Chinese hotel. For westerners, I should say the beds are hard, but that is the standard in nearly every hotel you go to in Asia.

The restaurant in the lobby has delicious food (for a pretty yuan), and while the waiting staff may not speak English, you can just point on the menu and they will get the message loud and clear.

Overall this was worth the price and was a pleasant stay. It's not located next to any major attractions, but it's not TOO FAR from the subway.

Stayed here with an EF tour. I liked this Hotel, it was nothing special but it served it's purpose. Our room was kept clean and organized. The beds were not overly comfortable, but that's often what you find in other countries. My only complaint was that our room was next to a construction site, of which the workers started their work day at 5:00am. :/
