Went to the one in JinBao Tower. After days of eating oily Chinese food at local restaurants, Lei Garden is a refreshing fare. They serve really good cantonese food. Ambience is good and service is attentive. Expect to pay higher end prices for th food though.

This chain is always a reliable choice if you are looking for quality cantonese fare. They have restaurants not just in Beijing, but also Shanghai, Singapore and originated from Hongkong. The typical starter of roast pork is always reliably good. The lobster bisque is lighter and just as flavorful as the western version. The roast duck is quite good. The fish noodles, fried pork buns, mango pudding were average. May return and test their dim sum next time. Overall i think it's good enough locals and tourists alike could try here

This restaurant has been awarded as the best dim sum restaurant in Beijing by several ex-pat magasines in Beijing.

We visited for lunch, where it was mostly (Chinese) business men that frequented the restaurant. Some of the dim sums were average, other were really great.

The decor is definetely upscale, and the service is OK. For a restaurant with this reputation at least 1 or 2 of the (many) staff members should have at least a few English words and phrases in their vocabulary.

Prices are not cheap but the food is excellent and the service is as good as you can find in China.
You will see very few white faces at this restaurant but it is extremely busy with the local clientele.
I definitely recommend this place for a true quality Chinese food experience.

We really enjoyed the food in this restaurant, and the waitress tried very hard to help us make our way through the huge menu. No one in the restaurant spoke much English, though, so we were rather lost. If you go, and you should because it is a beautiful restaurant with great food, be prepared to study a long menu without much help or learn Chinese. I still would highly recommend the restaurant, though, because the food was very good and the service very cordial.
