Prices are not cheap but the food is excellent and the service is as good as you can find in China.
You will see very few white faces at this restaurant but it is extremely busy with the local clientele.
I definitely recommend this place for a true quality Chinese food experience.

We really enjoyed the food in this restaurant, and the waitress tried very hard to help us make our way through the huge menu. No one in the restaurant spoke much English, though, so we were rather lost. If you go, and you should because it is a beautiful restaurant with great food, be prepared to study a long menu without much help or learn Chinese. I still would highly recommend the restaurant, though, because the food was very good and the service very cordial.

We went to Lei Garden in Beijing on two occasions. It is located in Jinbao Street, 2 minuted walk from Dengshikou tube station (Line 5). Although it is housed on the whole 3rd floor of an (upmarket) office building, it offers an excellent atmosphere and very friendly service.

The first time we went was for dinner and having been told they prepare great Dim Sum, we where slightly disappointed when we realised that the large selection of Dim Sum is available for lunch only. They could currently only offer us two variations of pork Dim Sum, which we immediately ordered and also ordered a prawn dish and the oyster dish from the Chefs recommendations. All where very tasty and forced us to return the next day for lunch.

We returned at 12:30 the following day, without making a reservation and where seated within 10 minutes. The Dim Sum menu was extensive and we ordered 6 different options, with my highlights being the steam pork dumplings, the steamed shrimp dumplings and my favourite (which i can't recommend enough) the honey pork bun.

Service was excellent and attentive, although English was spoken by few servers and at a very basic level.

Overall an amazing restaurant, which we definitely recommend to friends and will revisit again.
