Long way from cetral Beijing. Nearest subway station a 10 minutes walk west. Free internet. very cheap room service but menu is very limited, but no on demand mini bar. Attached to a large gym with 25m swimming pool. Very good value hotel

Room Tip: Ask for larger rooms which dont overlook atrium area which can be a little loud and limited provacy

The hotel itself is really good, nice room, good facilities. But the staff need to learn how to please the guests. Whenever I call for something, the answer is no or don't know, basic things like salt and straw are not available. I have to keep calling the manager to get the problem solved. The staff really need training to be more customer oriented.

I stayed there for 6 days. Cleanliness was very good. The room was in good shape upon check in, considering we checked in at 12 midnight. Staff were efficient.

I was at this Mercure with my husband for just under 2 weeks. He had business in the area, which is why we were staying far to the west of Beijing, just inside the 5th ring road. There were very few non-Chinese staying there, which in itself is interesting. The hotel is up to date and our room (a mini-suite, because our first room had heating that wouldn't turn off) was clean and spacious. The bed was quite hard, but with all of the walking I did, I slept like a rock.
Laundry and maid service were good and the rooms were equipped with robes and slippers. We also received a China Daily newspaper each day.
The hotel buffet breakfast had Chinese as well as western foods, with omelets made to order. The restaurants were just ok and quite expensive, which seems happen in many hotels.
There are 2 subway stops within walking distance of the hotel. It is line 1, the major east/west line and almost all of the other lines intersect. The price of the subway (one way) is ¥2 which is equivalent to $.30 or €,25. The subways are clean and reliable. I felt very comfortable, although I was very often the only non Asian riding.
Would I stay here again? If we needed to be on the western side of Beijing, yes. Otherwise I would stay closer to the center of the city, or at least close to a subway stop.
If you go to Beijing, be sure to take along a good street map as well as an up-to-date tour guide. They are available, but are not easy to find.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room on a non-smoking floor. Also ask for a room with windows that open, as s...

Nice property. Quite newly built i guess. Room is great, with bathroom glass wall facing the bedroom. There's curtain that you can use to close the glass wall though. The heater in room is ok in winter. I would suggest you to ask for rooms which window facing outside, coz i notice that they have rooms which window facing inside the hotel corridor.

Breakfast is average, but the fried noodle is nice.

Location is far from city center. With private van, it took approx 1 hour from the hotel to Tiananmen Square during busy hour in the morning.

Hotel staff is polite. Somehow, it's very hard to communicate with them in English. It nearly frustated me, but since i understand a little Mandarin, then finally the conversation is through. Whewww....

Considering the price that they offer, it worths the stay.

I stayed here for 1 week. It is really excellent. The hotel is located away from the city centre, in a quiet area, within 10 minutes walking from the closer tube station.
Very very nice hall. Great courtesy and care.
My room was really nice, with a great (and very nice) bathroom. Two restaurants are located within the Hotel, providing chinese and european-like food. The breakfast is included with accommodation, and is very good, providing a large variety of choices. Good quality/price ratio.
