I was told this was the place to get Peking Duck. We were staying in the hotel so I pre ordered our duck. We should have ordered two, not enough for all of us. It was delicious though. Service was decent, nothing amazing. Prices were a bit high.

I loved the service in this restaurant. Great views on the different kitchen stations (noodle, duck, stir fry). The staff was friendly, attentionate and smiled. The duck was good, the skin crispy and the side delicious.

When in Beijing, do as many Baijingers do, go to Made in China at the Grand Hyatt. Although
this is a difficult restaurant place to get into (Do not go here with out a reservation), it is worth
the effort. The Menu features items that you cloud find elsewhere (egg Rolls, etc), but the
preparation is unique and not what you will find elsewhere. The menu, which is in English
as well as Chinese, invites you to try some new items which you will not see out of China.
Try the various vegetarian dishes, as well as their version of Beijing Duck. If you can, get a place by the open kitchen, so you can watch the show, while you are rewarded with the results.
Even the deserts are special ( Try the various ice creams and sorbets). The prices here are
reasonable for what you can get. The bonus is you get to see the Hyatt and the Shops con-
tained therein.

read that this is the most popular peking duck restaurant to try.

not to the level of dadong peking in terms of service and taste.

small restaurant with not much ventilation to enjoy the ambience and dining experience.

Prompted by so many gd reviews, I got the hotel concierge to book a table a day before. they hv 2 slots, either 6.30pm or 8.30pm. took the 8.30pm slot. You would expect they hv your booking since they ask for detailed information like name of guest, what hotel u r from, even the name of hotel staff who books for u.
Guess what? Just before we left, I got the concierge to call again to confirm the timing since I am going there I just want to make sure the taxi ride is worth it - and they say they don't have any record of the booking. WHAT? How was it possible? Why ask for such detailed information when booking n not book it for us? Clearly it was their mistake. Worse, they don't apologise n so there was no replacement booking coz the place was full.
What do you call such forgetful service? Super horrible. Glad I didn't waste time going. With such arrogant attitude towards customers, can their food be good? Answer is obvious.
