The Haller Park started as a quarry and was a great big hole in the ground left behind after the cement factory had taken out what they wanted, Thanks to the wisdom and vision of the management of the cement factory this great big hole was transformed in to what is now the HALLER PARK, It is today a place that children can visit and be close to some SAFE wildlife and also learn a lot about nature. Hats off to the management of BAMBURI CEMENT FACTORY

We've visited Haller Park twice now and will probably go again the next time we are in Kenya. It is a great chance to get closer to some of the animals that you normally only see on safari. The experience of hand feeding the giraffes is not to be missed. There is so much to see, and the place seems to be expanding. Well worth an afternoon visit.

Brilliant attraction right in middle of urban sprawl but could be million miles away. Old reclaimed quarry with plenty to see and do for an afternoon.

The park is very big but you can visit just one small part. The park was built starting 40 years ago from a former quarry near a cement factory. They continuously enlarge the park as the quarry portions are closed. The visit take around 2 hours and you can see hippos giraffes, snakes, crocodiles, giant turtles, and a lot of free monkeys. You can feed the giraffes from your hand (with a special food that you can buy from there), you can see the crocodiles eating (they feed them just for the show - for the tourists). They give to crocodiles small pieces of raw meat hanging over the water and crocodiles jump to catch the meat. So, if you are in Mombasa or Bamburi beach it's worth to take a short trip to Haller Park.
