“Feed the giraffes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

Having spent 3 days on the Mara, we weren't expecting to see much that we hadn't already. Time your arrival for feeding time - you will get some great photo's and have a brilliant opportunity to get close to these amazing animals. You may also see the buffalo rising from the lake and plodding theire way across the grass for their supper

“good experience but pushy guide”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013

We visited Haller park after doing a safari. The reason was so we could experience the crocodile and giraffe feeding at close quarters, which were both interesting. After paying to go in we were shown round by our guide for 45 minutes. After this he told us we had to show our appreciation by way if a tip. We were prepared for this: it is Kenya after all. We were not prepared for his reaction to our tip and his insistence that we give more! We are not mean and don't begrudge tipping at all but this attitude was frankly aggresive. Beware if you visit. After all 1200 ksh (per person) for a 2 hour visit and then a 500ksh tip on top is more than most people tip their safari driver per day!

Liked feeding giraffe and good photo opportunity. Giant tortoises were a surprise as were the hippos

“Not a bad day out”

When you are tired of the beach it is nice to take a stroll through the woods and to few some of the animals they have. It is a bit tired and run down, but nonetheless worth a visit

“'do we really care of our old parents'”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

since when i was a little child,my mama used to tell me stories about animals but when i was old enough,i came to realised that all this stories were not true but she just wanted me to be happy-cause she cared.
last sarturday together with my family we decided to give "nyanya"(grandmother)a treat to haller park and it was one of the best time i had with my mother and family.she very much appreciated to see some of these animals in real and in their natural inhabitation apart from the stories she used to tell me.
as we had been advised when i called the park customer care, the feeding time was the best time when we could see all the animals-after the beautiful late afternoon tour we had some snacks and soft drinks at thier well taken care garden.whilei had memorable chat with my mother,my wife and son were having great time with the big tortoises around the garden.
nyanya was so happy with the rehabilitation and eco-system haller park have done-this is a great job haller park have done apart from the re-use of the quarry bringing to reach to the people with suchan educational enviroment not forgetting the importance of the forestation-THUMB UP TO HALLER PARK MANAGEMENT!
