“Haller Park”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

The park is brilliant seeing the giraffe and being able to feed them was the best experience throughout my holiday. The guide takes you around and that cost is included in the price of admission. The vervets monkeys are running around the park but they don't get to close to scare you. They have various animals and snakes also giant tortoise. But if you want to see the hippos and zebra up close they feed them at 16.00 when they come closer for photos. Great park well worth a visit.

“Haaller Park”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

When this was built in 1950 this was probably great, but since then nothing has been spent on it and the people running it do not have a clue about conservation. The only good point is you can feed the Giraffe and thats it. The park is really for the locals and once you have done a safari you will be very disappointed coming here especially if you do a trip. If you want to come book a taxi and pay on the gate as it will be MUCH cheaper

“A nice Pre-safari to look at animals”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

We arrived mid-afternoon and out tour driver paid for a guide for us. The guide took us to all of the animal habitats and we made it to the Giraffe feeding just in time (3:00pm). For a small fee we were able to hand feed the Giraffes. Word of caution, take a wet wipe as the giraffes eat the food out of your hand with a really slimy tongue. Lots of fun, but you'll need to wash your hands afterward. After seeing reptiles and Nile Alligators, We got to the Hippo area just in time for feeding the hippo's (4:00pm). We don't get to hand feed hippos, but they pour food on the ground right in front of us and the hippos ate off the ground (not their natural method). Brave monkeys scampered up and ate some of the hippo's food as well. Very entertaining. Next we passed the Antelope and Zebra habitat on our way to watch them feed the Nile Alligators (4:30pm). They suspended large chunks of meat on a pulley and extended it over the waiting alligators (probably about twenty of them). When one of the alligators would jump for it, he'd pull it back up until one of the alligators got it. Needless to say we didn't hand feed those bad boys. After that the guide took us back to the car. Our guide was good at answering our questions, but didn't offer up much information beyond that. We over heard other guides offing more information. This park was originally a quarry until they hit the water table and turned it into a wildlife sanctuary in 1971. Very philanthropic thing for that company to do. There are also lots of large, mature trees in the park as well. Lots of shade on a hot afternoon. All-in-all a fun way to spend two hours or so in the afternoon.

We had a lot of fun here . You can see hippos , zebra , buffalo , antelops grazing in the park . Also there are very big tortoise brought from seychelles . We liked the feeding of crocodiles which was the best part of the park.
