This was a very adequate hotel, good value for what we paid. We stayed before/after our safari over four nights. The room could do with upgrading and wasn’t as nice as I’d hoped, being quite small. There was a huge range of food on the buffet, covering all types of tastes. You were restricted to staying around the pool as you’d get hassle if you went down to the beach but this isn’t a problem with drinks constantly being served and 3 pools to choose from.

The staff were fantastic and helpful. This isn’t a luxurious resort at all but it’s very good and excellent value for what we paid.

Having just arrived home after 2 weeks at the Voyager we (4 of us) had a brilliant holiday here, the hotel is fabuluous and the staff couldn't do enough for us , we will definitely be going back again.

Room Tip: Up grade to superior garden room as a lot bigger with 2 beds and bigger bathroom

We stayed here after we had done some safaris and we must say that we where pleasantly surprised. It's a very nice resort with very friendly staff. When we arrived we asked for another room than they had reserverd for us and the new room was so pleasant we could overlook the pool and the beach, and it was no problem at all. Every evening they had another dinner and entertainment theme like swahili, libanise or for example turkisch. There is a mall nearby (20 minutes walk) with lots of fun stuff. We also did a daytrip to old Mombasa and Fort Jesus and that is something that we could also recommend to everyone because than you can explore Mombasa a bit. I would surely recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Mombasa.

Having read other travellers views before arriving I can appreciate many of the points raised by them.
The hotel is attractive with a great location and excellent staff. The gardens and public areas are well maintained and there was plenty of shade if you're not one of the aggressive equator
sunshine!
The food was diverse and of good quality. We decided on the all inclusive option and werent disappointed. As well as the buffet chefs were always on hand to cook from fresh, this included desserts, pasta, egg and meat dishes. Salad, fruit and breads were always fresh and tasty. All inclusive drinks were OK although a wider range was available if you were willing to pay.
The view from our superior room was nice with the ocean over to the right and a vast lawn infront. Many people have commented on the quality of the rooms considering its a '4 star'. I would strongly agree that the hotel needs an update in this respect. The room was very clean and tidy but a fresh lick of paint, some decent extraction in the bathroom (damp smell evident) and new linens for the bed would not be unreasonable. The bed clothes consistently had holes and the bed was rather hard. I guess I'm used to 4 star beds!
The air conditioning broke twice and the safe also whilst we were staying there. The staff however were excellent and corrected the problems fairly swifly. I think this is reflected in the fact that it has been removed from the 'Platinum Collection' of our tour operator.
Pools and facilities were good and there was good entertainment on an evening including a
cabaret and sports bar.
The beach and ocean were lovely but the persistent attention of people beach boys and traders did make a stroll slightly off putting.
All in all a decent hotel but in need of some improvement. I would probably not stay here again.
