This beautifully located hotel was once the Queen of all the hotels on the Kenyan coast.
We had spent many many wonderful holidays here in the past and simply due to the downturn in tourism which occurred earlier this century it had suffered , as had many coastal hotels , from much needed tourism support and revenue.
Thankfully it is now in the hands of a competent hotel group and they have a well known CEO ( Mohammed Hursi) from the industry to head an impressive management team.
We had a brief stay there recently and were welcomed by several wonderful old faces - Lilian in admin, James-pool, Mohammed - reception to name but a few!
The grounds ( best on the coast by far) and pools looked immaculate, the hotel and newly refurbished rooms were lovely, and once the additional bistro refurb and Mvita Grill are reopened this hotel should really go places again!
The wonderfully competent Margaret Masha has been poached from Heritage Hotels as the new Sales and Marketing Manager - great news!
Don't hesitate to give this wonderful hotel a try- you won't regret it!
For golf lovers the excellent Nyali Golf club is literally around the corner!
As for the beach - absolutely perfect white powdery sand beach.More
