Calibrate your expectations: this is a canteen that serves local food for locals.
Strategic location right on the edge of the old town in Mombasa, it's a convenient place for a rest and a meal during a day visit to Mombasa. The clientele is locals (all ages) and tourists trusting their LP guide.
Extensive swahili menu (shwarmas, pilau, fish, fresh juices, naan cooked in what looks like a reclaimed oil drum) served at long tables (share with strangers, make friends). You will need to fight for the attention of the waiters, and probably need to follow up a few times, especially during peak hours. Very good food and very good value.
