We stayed there for a week with my family and although I have been making annual visits to Mombasa during Christmas period, the August change and stay at Leinmach was refreshing. Generally I would make a repeat and recommend to friends. Nevertheless, ther is room for improvement especially the dining and rooms. The meals were generally fine but you should introduce more varieties of food and opportunities such as local "kienyeji" chicken, vegetables or even introduce self preparation of food. After all, home stay is about that opportunity that you can do this. You could rent out the cooking facilities or allow guests to use their own. We do this in our facility known as "kilimo Talii" in Chogoria (visit www.kilimotalii.org). Breakfast menu too monotonous. Introduce other possibilities. The charging for dispensing water from the dining was a real shocker. This is the first place I have experienced this. Since there is no bottled water in the rooms, I thought this should not be charged whatsoever.
The rooms are ok but as past guests have commented, TV sets could do for each room. The aircon was excellent.
Swimming pool is excellent but introduce a snack and soft drink bar when you got good number of guests. Pool lights welcome.
A lot of potential for excellence and growth. Very concerned and friendly guys, Boniface and Njau. Keep it up!

Reccomended place for budget holidays. The breakfast fruit was excellent, sampling a range of tropical fruits.Internet was good. Skilled chefs. Lots of space in the rooms and in the garden too. All types of transport available on request. A short ride or a trekking distance from three major shopping areas.
I encourage the hotel to buy a small printer for guests to print at a cost.

I stayed in Leinmach in June 2013 and was looking for somewhere peaceful where I could relax. Leinmach was definitely that. The pool was great and it was quiet when I was there so I basically had it to myself! The gardens were well kept and really tranquil. The breakfast is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi was also really high quality compared to other areas in East Africa. The rooms are basic but I had a lovely balcony and the staff worked quickly to get my shower fixed when it was broken.
There isn't much happening in Nyali but the beach is beautiful, there seem to be lots of activities run by a local hotel ( about a 5 minute walk- inc windsurfing and zumba), and there is a nice cafe beside the cinema where you can get iced lattes! For dinner there is a limited range of chinese style food which is ok but there are plenty of places around to get nice food. All in all worth a stay and I think would be great for family trips.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

Stayed here for 3 nights and I must say what was my highlight was the swimming pool. I couldn't have enough of it and neither could the children! The fact that the pool was open 24hrs was the plus point for them. However in all fairness, they need to improve the rooms a bit. Understandably, they are still new, but they could expedite the electrical fixtures before giving the rooms out because our room didn't have a working hot water shower yet the connection was done. They need to polish the finer details. They have very friendly staff members who are willing to go an extra mile to ensure you are comfortable. The rooms were fitted with working air conditioners and the linen was changed daily, but it would have been great if they provided each room with a bottle of mineral water according to the number of occupants. Bathrooms were clean and toiletries were stocked up daily. On a more luxurious note, they should consider installing televisions in each room so as to avoid guests competing for the remote control to watch their favourite programmes in the common room as people have different preferences.
Their breakfast was not vast, a bit minimal but still delicious though they were open to suggestions. They had an in-house diner, but on the downside, it closed too early and lacked the option of snacks which one would prefer with a night cup. All in all it was worth the price and worth a second time around. To top it off, it was in a serene neighbourhood, surrounded with the sounds of nature and a few minutes to the beach!

We went there on a holiday season and would like to say there is a lot the management can improve on like sevice delivery, food quality(there were hardly any veggies) no water on hand, rooms(our hot shower was not working),and pool safety( i suggest is they allow people to swim at night then they should light up the pool area for safety. The location is absolutely perfect and a few steps to the beach.te staff was also friendly.

We stayed at Leinmach for a little over a week in June 2013. The staff was wonderful and accommodating to make the stay very pleasant for you. The rooms were good. My kids loved being able to go to the pool at 9:30 p.m. at night if they wanted to! Leinmach Guest House would be my choice to stay at whenever I get a chance to visit Mombasa again.
