Wildlife Kenya could not come more highly recommended by us - being on the move with very few days to get something organised, Antony listened to our thoughts on the type of safari we'd like and came up with a great itinerary, then organised everything for us within 3 days!

Our private 7 night 8 day safari was brilliant - 1 night in Lake Nakuru, 3 nights in Masai Mara, 1 night in Lake Naivasha and 2 nights in Amboseli. Our favourite was the Masai Mara, where we saw lion (including 10 very cute lion cubs), leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, hippo and many other sorts of animal. Lake Nakuru allowed us to see both white rhino and black rhino up close, and in Amboseli we encountered very large groups of elephants which was also a highlight. To top it all off we took a hot air balloon with great views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Please note travel time between these different parks can be long (between 4 and 8 hours), and the roads are often dusty and bumpy to say the least! But that is just the way it is in Kenya unless you fly, and we personally felt it was worth it as we gained much from seeing the variations in wildlife and landscape.

We were delighted with the lodges and luxury tented accomodation that we stayed in - they were all clean, comfortable, more luxurious than we expected and the food in each place was excellent.

Our driver Sammy really made the trip for us - his knowledge of the parks and the animals was excellent and he was very happy to share this knowledge with us. He had a real ability to spot the animals and park the safari van exactly where we'd get the best photos!

All in all we had an amazing experience, it was great value for money and we have memories to last a lifetime. Thanks Wildlife Kenya !

My husband and I contacted Antony at Wildlife Kenya Safaris last year after a friend of mine recommended him. From our initital contact until the actual safari, Antony was absolutely brilliant.
We decided to have the Private Honeymoon Safari - three days, two nights in Tsavo East and West. We were also able to combine our safari with a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where we visited our elephant, Lesanju!
Our driver was John - he was excellent. We would not have spotted half of the smaller animals without him.
The only thing that disappointed us was the accomodation we had chosen for our first night. We stayed in the Voi Wildlife Lodge. We arrived at 2pm on our first afternoon to check in and have lunch. The lunch finished at 2.30pm but the food we had was barely warm and the staff did not seem bothered about refreshing it. The bread plates and table mats were cleaned by the waiter brushing crumbs onto the floor! Once we checked into our room we found stained sheets on one of the beds. We understand this accomodation caters for tourists who only stay for one or two nights but we were not impressed with the standard of cleanliness at all.
By comparison Ngulia Safari Lodge, where we stayed on our second night, was immaculate. The rooms a basic but clean and tidy - perfect for what we required. Our waited ensured our table was reserved so that during our evening meal, we were as close as possbile to the area where they hang out meat to feed their regular visiting leopard.
Overall we would highly recommend booking your safari through Wildlife Kenya Safaris. If you do make sure you request John - he will make sure you have one unforgettable experience!!

Like so many of the reviews here I would recommend Wildlife Kenya Safaris. Bidan took us on a 3 day trip to Tsavo West and Amboseli and it was a great experience. Bidan was a great character with lots of knowledge of and respect for the wildlife and habitat, which he was only to happy to chat with us about. He had lots of patience allowing me time to get the shots I wanted.

The lodges were pretty good - Ngulia is a bit 70's but who cares with views like that?

Had a good laugh with the Masai - some reviewers here claiming it's a rip off but really I only paid £20 or so and they'd have chatted all day with us if we'd let them.

Is Antony one of the big six?

The Safari from Wildlife was amazing the service was unbelievable I was very impressed by the way the business was conducted by Antony professional, curtious, and attentive. Traveling by cruise ship does not give you a lot of time in ports so contacting Wildlife for our best option was perfect becasue Antony told us with our time frame what we could and could not see. We opted for the Shimba Hills day safari which was a good safari if you dont have time, Tsavo is of course better but with our time frame it was perfect saw some Antelope, Giraffe, and Baboons. Though the best part of the day was the lunch at the Shimba hills hotel that Antony included with our tour a 5 star resort with excellent food and a terrific view. Oh did I mention the hotel is a tree house. We ended our trip safely and on time while Antony making sure we had a private Ferry back to our pick up destination.

We booked late, 3 days before we were due to arrive, but due to the power of email, everything was taken care of and finalised within a few hours of my first enquiry. I booked with Wildlife Kenya Safaris because of the recommendations on Trip-Advisor and was extremely pleased with the service. On the morning of the pick up from our hotel our driver was on time to the minute! We drove into mombassa to the office to pick up the other family traveling with us. Antony, who runs the company was excellent at making sure everything was exactly as agreed before we set off. Our Guide Daniel was fantastic from the start, knowledgeable about wildlife and history, and being translator between the french family and us. Our transport was excellent, a long wheel base land cruiser, much more up to the job than the mini-vans we saw so many other Safari operators using. The journey to Tsavo east took a while, but just beware when you stop off at curio shops as you will be hassled to buy things, and they are generally much more expensive than your hotel. Although a lot of haggling will get the price reduced. (This is true of most of Kenya, and they are only trying to make a living.) The first day of safari was great, everything you would expect. We then went to the Lion Hill Lodge, which is absolutely breathtaking. Overlooking the park from your balcony was quite something. The second day was just as good as the first, the big 5, and numerous other animals, just brilliant. All the time Daniel had a fantastic knowledge of the animals, and an exceptional eye for spotting things we had missed. All too soon it was over, and we were heading back to our hotel near Mombassa. The journey to and from the safari park is worth the trip alone as you get to see something else of Kenya besides your hotel and surrounding area, the safari is just the icing on the cake. Overall the Safari was everything we had wanted and more. There were only five of us in total (out of a maximum of 6) in the vehicle so we all had a fantastic view wherever the animals were. Some other safari vans had 15 people in a mini-van, how they could see anything at all is a mystery. I would definitely recommend Wildlife Kenya Safaris, they provided everything they had promised and more. Don't pay your tour operator twice as much for a safari, go local.
