This is my favorite camp in the Mara. It is small and the staff, especially Jonathan is very friendly and efficient. They make you feel right at home the minute you step out of the truck. There are only 10 tents and each has a wonderful view of the Mara. They are nicely appointed with all the things you need to relax and enjoy your stay. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. I always tell Jonathan to cut the portions for me. The selection is always a surprise as well. I normally stay 5 days. The Mara is large and this gives you more time to explore and let the guides take you to different area's. Lunch on the Mara is a treat to say the least. The box lunches are always packed with a variety in mind. You are close to the river where the wildebeest cross and that is breathtaking to watch and here.

Room Tip: I always go for one farther away from the dining room. Just a little more private and remote.

We have travelled to the Mara 4 times now so we were keen to try out some different options in regard to accommodation and game drive areas in the Maasai. Entim was a great choice. From the moment you weave your way through the trees and were warmly greeted to the sad farewell at the end we were treated extremely well. I was a little worried taking our 4 kids to a luxury camp as not to spoil it for other guests but there was plenty of room both inside an outside the tents for them to find space without disturbing others. The tents were very comfortable and the view from out sitting area out front, the dining room and lounge area was spectacular, food wonderful and service just beautiful. Henry our guide was fantastic and patient with us all. We saw everything in the 3 days here that we have missed in many other safaris. Eg lion and cheetah kills, black rhino and lots of leopard. While game viewing is definitely chance we did feel rather looked after! I must admit I only had cold showers in our tent ( the kids had hot) but it was overcast and they are solar. Overall we loooved our stay. Thanks

What a great experience it was staying at Entim Camp. The rooms, the service, the food, all excellent. And the game drives were spectacular. I stayed here 3 nights and had and would recommend it to anyone. I've never been on a safari, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I couldn't imagine you could b better taken care of in a camp-type setting. The rooms/tents were awesome - felt like I was in a hotel room instead of a "tent". The photos below give you and idea, and I could post hundreds of game photos as spectacular as these.

Stayed 3 nights at this camp in Aug 2013 - very nice camp. It's within the reserve, so no night game drives allowed. Our guide, Daniel, was fantastic - very friendly, articulate, tried hard to find animals for us and was very knowledgeable. Nice campfire in the evening with drinks and snacks provided before dinner. The tents are nice and there is hot water (very very hot!) all the time. Lighting is the usual dim fluorescent bulbs but the electricity is on all the time. The camp is located right on the Mara river, so you can sit on the porch and watch animals, perhaps even see a crossing. At night lots of animals, including hippos, come right up near the tents, so there are entertaining night sounds all the time. The staff are friendly and helpful, and laundry service is provided. The food was a little up and down - sometimes very good, other times not (stale brownie for dessert, a main course of French fries with some kind of sauce???) - that would be the only negative thing I would say. Oh.... the mattresses are rock hard, so sleeping not so comfortable. But all in all a very nice camp - would recommend.

After a challenging hours-long drive over dirt roads and about 30 minutes more once we entered the Maasai Mara Game Park, the Entim Camp was like an oasis in the trees. It seemed that out of nowhere the camp appeared with a team of employees waiting to greet us with wet towels, a refreshing drink of juice and unloading our suitcases and taking them to our tents.

Our family stayed in five hotels while in Kenya, and Entim Camp was their favorite. In addition to my family of four, my sister's family of five stayed in Entim Camp. Every person mentioned the customer service at the Entim Camp as a highlight. Kat treated us with amazing hospitality throughout our stay and John (the Head Waiter) must rarely sleep as he was there at each meal.

The camp wakes you in the morning with coffee, tea, or juice. Each meal was so well done that we were talking about the meals for hours after we finished.

The location on the Mara River allows spectacular views especially at sunset and in the morning when hot air balloons float across the horizon. We were fortunate to be there during the migration, but there are always interesting views of hippos year at other times.

The only challenging part of being at the Entim Camp as it is about a 30 minute drive across the Maasai Mara to get there. However we were there to see the animals in the Maasai Mara, so driving to the camp just gave us more time to view animals.

My only regret was that we only stayed two nights at Entim Camp.

Room Tip: Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as sleeping in tents lets noise come inside easier. All the tents are close to the dining tent, but we enjoyed having the tent next to the dining tent as it was quicker to get there. The tents on the outer edges have more privacy though.
