So many things to share about Entim! I chose this camp for our migration safari primarily for it's location after reading so much here and in other blogs online even though my travel agent knew nothing about it. I'm so glad I followed my instinct and after finishing our 9 night safari, I only wished I had booked longer than 4 nights!

Our guide, Henry, met us at the Ol Kiombo airstrip after our one night stay in Nairobi and we started back to the camp with a short game drive on the way. We were greeted upon arrival by several Maasai and Lexy, the camp manager. It was very welcoming and after a cool towel, a cold drink and a run down on camp life, we were shown to our tents, #1 and #6. I wasn't pleased with the location of #1 as it's only a few feet from the dining tent which means it has more noise and less privacy. I mentioned this to Lexy, but the camp was completely booked. We were very pleased the following morning when Lexy shared that our daughter and her husband could switch to tent #5 since those guests were leaving and we agreed to the move. The location of #5 and #6 offered more privacy as they are at the end of the row.

The tents are a nice size with en suite facilities and it was very nice to have hot water available at any time without needing to call for a bucket shower. One thing you should know before going it that the mattresses are extremely hard and I like a hard mattress but even these were somewhat uncomfortable. We had the same at another camp, so it seems that many camps use the same vendors. Just a heads up. Our other concern revolved around children at Entim. I normally look for camps that are adult only or at least not for very young children and their website states that they don't have children under the age of 8. Therefore, we were quite surprised when 2 or 3 different families arrived with very young children who made meal times and afternoons at camp not quite as peaceful as we would have liked. Some honeymoon couples made the same observation and Lexy is aware that the website needs to be changed to let people make their choice based on fact. It didn't ruin our experience at Entim, but it would have been better without 4 yr olds running around.

We have been to many safari camps and lodges over the last 4 years and Entim had the BEST food ever! We always enjoyed having choices and the quality and quantity were perfect. The service was always friendly and professional and everyone went out of there way to make us feel at home.

The best for last, our guide Henry. A guide can make or break a safari experience as we've had both! Henry has an innate ability to know what the animals are going to do and when they're going to do it! Since he also has worked with and guided many professional photography groups through the Mara, he always sets up the shot for lighting and angle without being asked. It was wonderful. Knowing that this was not our first safari, he worked very hard to give us experiences and chances to observe wildlife behavior. We experienced 4 crossings at close proximity but also saw at least 3 Wildebeest crossings a bit further while sitting on the porch of the tent!

We will highly recommend Entim to our friends who will be visiting the Mara for the migration in August. They have the perfect location at this time to keep from driving long distances to see river crossings. At the end of our 9 nights at 3 different camps, it was unanimous that Entim was everyone's favorite! Thank you Lexy, John, Jonathan, Barnabas and especially Henry for an unforgettable safari we will treasure forever!

Room Tip: Tent #6 or Tent #10 offer the most privacy. Tent # 6 has a beautiful view of the savannah across th...

What can I say?....... after looking forward to our planned holiday for almost a year it finally happened. Entim Camp can only be recommended for it's quality of accomodation, service and friendliness. The staff were extremely efficient and helpful, the food was absolutely exquisite and the setting of the camp cannot be better.

Our assigned driver Edward was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to find us the animals we wanted to see. Our special thanks to him for ensuring that we saw a very large river crossing (where some other visitors never saw this unbelievable sight due to the rains arriving and the herds following the rain away from the river) Also for going out of his way to make our last day - on our way to the airstrip - a memorable one with further rare sightings of a cheetah and unbeliavably large crocodiles. To Daniel our waiter in the Diningroom - also a big thank you. He remembered exactly what we liked to have to drink and before you could even ask it was already on it's way to you! Another special person was Lexi who seemed to run the camp with an organized hand, but always had a smile and friendly chat with everyone at whatever time of day.

To conclude I can honestly recommend this camp and their staff to anyone who wants to visit the Masai Mara and enjoy the wild side of life in luxury!

Entim to me and my friends was like a small family cabin where services were personalized and timely. Even the hippos were on time to welcome us to the camp, simply everyone was glad to have us there. The supervisor was very sorry one time when the shower decided to instead of water to discharge mud- this was abnormal and beyond the management. My friends and I felt that this was the experience we needed. We love you Entim.

If you need a quiet vacation and still get the same excellent service, this is the place to be!!!

Room Tip: The far end away from the dining area. Very private but be ready to share the backyard with the hipp...

We cannot say enough positive about our 4 days at this lodge, the view is magnificent, the food worthy of a 4 star restaurant, and the staff was helpful in every way. Watching the sunset, beverage in hand, and laughing at the vocal antics of the hippos in the river will be part of my memory bank forever. If you want an adventure that is basic in watching wildlife and luxury at the hotel, the Entim lodge is for you.

Having been to the Mara many times, I would highly recommend Entim camp for two main reasons - the location and the fantastic staff. David the camp manager is one of the nicest people you will meet in the Mara, and the rest of the staff follow suit. It is one of the view camps in the park with a view of the mara river and access to a huge range of different game drives in the near vicinity. I've visited Entim with different groups many different times of year and the guides never fail to find varied game with big cats on almost every drive. you can't go wrong.

An excellent choice. Can not say enough about Entim Camp as it exceeded our every expectation. All the other reviews are right on. A small camp of 10 tents with a very personal touch from all staff - from welcome drinks to game guides to waiters to late night campfires. Located inside the Park overlooking the Mara River including one of the migration crossing and hippos and crocs. Game guides are local Masai warriors with excellent local knowledge and very flexible/amenable with your desires of sunrises, safari breakfasts and sundowners. Ours was Sami and cannot speak more highly of him as we saw excellent game with the guides expertly positioning ourselves for great photos. Other guests were equally pleased with theirs. Extremely comfortable tents overlooking the river. Great food without being being glitzy and the host, Johnathan, attended to our ever need. The cost was also extremely reasonable compared to others (that were much more expensive but rated same or lower than Entim). Highly recommended and will try to personally book again with Entim. Our thanks to all the staff at Entim who made our visit so memorable.

This is such a wonderful, amazing, magnificent place in the middle of nature, that it's hard to describe. It has so much character! We traveled for 3 weeks around Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar, but staying at Entim Camp was the best of all places we had accommodation in. Not only that you are in the heart of the reserve, meaning the location is absolutely perfect to start your early morning drive, but we really didn't understand, how the camp managed to supply such a great variety of food and an absolute 6 star service. Whole staff was wonderful, caring and much dedicated to their work. The food was excellent, tent very comfortable, we loved the camp fire every evening with the little surprise. And the sounds of wild you are able to hear while staying at Entim make you feel you are really in the middle of it. During our 3 day stay here, we saw so much wild life, that when we compared it to Serengheti, Mara was much much better and wild. There were 11 lions with their cubs very close to the camp and our game drive begun immediately when we said bye to the guard. The camp is very safe, the guards are very attentive and you really don't have to worry security wise. We definitely plan to go back and we can't describe the wonderful feeling we had from this place. Big thank you to the whole staff for making this place so unique and we say hello to John and Jonathan. We will come back and we want to recommend Entim camp as #1 accommodation not only in Kenya.
