This was my first visit to Masai Mara and indeed any safari. However, my wife has been on many and we both agree that Naibor Camp couldn't possibly have an equal.

As we were driven on our safaris in a top of the range vehicle prepared especially for me and my wife we could see that other safari goers we met along our way through the Masai Mara simply didn't have the level quality that we did. We were able to stop and take pictures of the stunning wildlife and surroundings at our leisure without imposing on other people (or other people imposing on us!).

The camp itself was amazing, decorated and furnished beautifully. Set on the banks of the Talek where we saw plenty of hippos and other wildlife. The service was outstanding, from the level of attention put to the safari itself to the food and drink. The rooms were immaculate and little touches like hot water bottles waiting for you when you go to sleep are small examples of the attention to detail this place goes to (There are so many things like this, I couldn't possibly list them all).

It is obvious straight away that all of the staff at Naibor are extremely knowledgable about the surrounding areas and the wildlife. The staff were always happy to make sure we have the best time possible, no more so than Michelle and Ken (who run the place) - Thanks for helping make our stay so memorable.

This place is easily a 10/10 no-brainer!!!

Naibor is the only place I'd consider staying at on safari - I truly had an excellent and unforgettable experience.

I am somewhat baffled by the previous review of Tracey P. We were there at exactly the same time and well remember this couple. When they joined us at the dining table they fully contributed to the banter and were all laughs and joviality . Ken and Michelle specially asked about their ballon ride and I was particularly curious as to their birds-eye view experience. As far as their privacy and intimacy is concerned Naibor had enough places scattered around the dining areas for this to take place. If you choose to sit right next to the communal table are a group of eight to ten people expected to converse and exchange their day's safari experiences in hushed tones or sign language? It seems that this couple were expecting everything 'Sala' at Naibor which is unfair and unreasonable and therefore at best have a confused recollection . Never mind !
As for our time at Naibor let me first of all THANK both Ken and Michelle for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable that we have recommended it to so many people already . Michelle went beyond requirement to ensure different dietary needs were met and all meals were planned with meticulous finesse . Hot water for showers , teas , coffees , complimentary laundry service, packed lunches and breakfasts , snacks ( this list is not exhaustive ) were all provided whenever and however you needed it . And did I mention the wine ? Expensive and beautiful wine was served and again all complimentary ! The service by the waiters was fantastic while the Masai Askaris were our guardian angels outside every tent , every night.
Our safari was equally memorable and let me give Lolo our Masai driver heartfelt thanks for personalising our experience in such a way that we still miss his humour ! He taught us so much about the psychology and the behaviour of all the animals we saw ( and we saw them all!) not to forget the Migration ! He knew where all the vantage positions in the Mara were to see so many animals . And all done with smile , grace and humour! THANK YOU LOLO!
Nick was also there to help out and was very much involved with the running of the camp .
Overall my experience at Naibor has been Par Excellence and remains a ' to revisit ' place definitely --- as long as Ken , Michelle , Nick and Lolo are still there .
Thanks guys for your awesome hospitality , your great sense of humour, your pastoral care and your perfect food and wine ! In other words ; DREAM TEAM !

Room Tip: Tents no 3 and 5 are particularly good !

After experiencing first class attention from the staff of Sala's Camp, we arrived at Naibor expecting the same but alas not. The general staff were welcoming and attentive but the same cannot be said about the management. The manager was not onhand to receive us and after receiving half the tour of the facilities by William the waiter, Ken made an appearance and proceeded to repeat what William had said. This was fine and we moved on because it was my 50th birthday and my partner of 16 years had proposed the night before so we walking on air. Ken advised us that we could have dinner at our tent or in the main dining area and we said that would be lovely and we would do one night of each but could we please have a private table in light of our celebrations. That night the noise levels in the diningroom were at such a level that we could not have a conversation, we finished up our dinner fast, and moved outside to sit and listen to the hippos but the noise from the dining area was intolerable and we left and went to bed. No management came to the table to see if we were okay because they were partying with the large table. Michelle had been to our table to take our tea/coffee order and wake up call for the balloon safari and the order was for one ginger tea and one coffee, the coffee never arrived. We asked a waiter the next night to please ensure that the coffee arrived the next morning, it never did, we received two ginger teas again. When we got back from our balloon safari and afternoon game drive nobody was waiting with a cool towel and a drink, we had to make our way back to our tent and I then had to walk back up to the main area to ask someone for cold drinks and water for a shower. The assistant Nick who had jumped up upon arrival and advised if we needed anything was never to appear except at departure. On our last evening we had elected to have dinner at our tent and Ken appeared to give a half hearted apology for the noise the night before, of which he was making substantial contribution to, and I politely advised it was not how I had envisaged spending my 50th birthday evening and that it was quite unpleasant, he was not impressed with my comment and the atmosphere was frosty until departure. No special or personal attention was received in light of our celebrations from management of which they were aware of, not even general interest was shown at anytime iro what we'd seen or experienced on the day. The food was mediocre in comparison on what we had received at Sala's Camp eg. Thai curry, with Roti and roast potatoes after having potato croquettes for starters... The flies at the dining area for breakfast and lunch were also a problem and not enough effort was taken to keep the food on the buffet covered. David our guide was our saving grace, he tried so hard to have us see a crossing and we were successful and he had so much experience and knowledge and we had a lovely time with him which made up for the lack of interest from management.

This was an amazing experience - greeted at the airport by Lolo in full Maasai garb, with a game drive en route to the camp. We saw all of the big five, and were overwhelmed by the number of wildebeest and zebra during the great migration. We were there right at the start of the crossing, but could feel the pressure mounting with the increase in lion kills each day.

Great food, attentive staff, amazing tents (how many tents have lounging couches on their verandahs?), and a proximity to nature equaled by the facility's commitment to 'green'. Ken and Michelle were attentive (but not obtrusive, even better) hosts, and the staff took extra care of my two teenage girls with their vegetarian diet.

Lolo was our guide for the three days (two nights) we stayed here, and was knowledgeable, caring, competent, and funny. We'd drive to different spots looking for key animals, and then find an open area for breakfast/lunch in the bush.

Sleeping in a tent with all the sounds of hippos, lions, and lots of other night voices is extraordinary, especially tucked into a comfortable bed with your very own hot water bottle to take the chill off the sheets.

This was an amazing, amazing experience - and we would love to do it again!

Recently stayed at Naibor, and the staff welcomed us, and helped us with our bags. After a long day of traveling, we were welcomed by first class people, that made sure we were comfortable and secure. The Safari land, is truly wild, so it is nice to know that warriors are protecting you and your family 24/7. Despite a noisy hippo, which is really very cool, the accommodations exceeded my expectations. Our driver Lolo was knowledgeable about all of the wonderful Safari animals we saw. Even saw a rare Black African Rhino!@ Great luxury camp, I give Naibor my highest recommendation. You will not go wrong by choosing Naibor! Brendan J. Sanger - Attorney at Law

The Naibor Camp is a class act. The accommodations are superb with great care given to every detail. The entire staff are very well trained, welcoming and gifted with hospitality. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the meals; a first rate dining experience at every meal. Located at the heart of the Masaai Mara National Park the safari drives were fruitful with 4 of 5 big five animals seen close up and many, many other species of animals and bird life also taken in. The weather was delightful at the beginning of the rainy season. Our team was there from 4/27 to 4/29/2013.
A big thank you to Ken and Michelle who manage the camp and your staff.
