“Pampered plus!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

In the middle of the savannah in a tent. Add a comfy king sized bed, hot shower, and hot water bottle. Who could ask for anything more? The food was wonderful; lived the masai dancers. The park itself is spacious and full of wildlife, although you may have to drive a ways to find it.

Dear Guest,
We are very pleased that you took your time to share your experience at our Resort and quite humbled by your compliments.
We at Sarova Hotels remain committed to offering excellent products and services to our guests. We are honored that you found our Best Of Kenya cuisine to be wonderful enhancing your dining experience. I am also happy that you enjoyed the Maasai dance. This is part of living up to our mission of working with the communities we operate in as the dancers come from the nearby communities. We also incorporate them in our activities during the day as most are employed within the lodge in various departments.
Thank you once again and we look forward to hosting you for another unforgettable experience.

Kind regards,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for a fantastic holiday for myself and my family at Mara Sarova Camp. Your organisation and attention to detail ensured that every part of our holiday flowed seamlessly.
The standard of tents, food, customer service was excellent. Thank you also for giving us an upgrade, it truly was out of this world. The staff looked after us so well, the food was excellent, the standard of the accommodation was luxurious and the scenery and setting was simply stunning.
I cannot recommend highly enough the early morning game drive safari, and not forgetting the migration. it is a must for anyone visiting the Masai Mara. The food produced by the chef’s was astounding (better than many restaurants!)

Thank you again for organizing a fantastic trip and ensuring that our trip to Masai Mara especially to Mara Sarova will never be forgotten and the next time around I would certainly like to engage your services once again. and i will definitely recomend my freinds and family to book a holiday at Mara Sarova.

Kind regards,

Idris and Alifiyah Nanabhai

Room Tip: I recommend to go for the executive tents.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of our safari, it was brilliant. It was a tent, but it had a solid wood floor, huge double bed and a brick built bathroom area with a huge shower area and his and hers sinks.
Our tent was right on the edge of the Masai Maria national park so you could lie in bed and listen to the animals at night, one night we could hear lions!!
The hotel area looked really nice and all the staff were friendly and very helpful, the food in the restaurant was lovely and there was plenty of selection, as we were leaving early on our last day they put on breakfast for us early, which was appreciated.
All in all, I can't wait to go back, and that will definitely be happening!

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your kind review. We are very pleased to read about the wonderful time you had with us and for the high recommendation that our facilities, food and services all surpassed your expectations.
Sarova Mara is situated inside the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in an area which is a natural dispersal area for Wildlife so we are frequently graced by visits to our fence from our furry neighbors who are the rightful residents of the park. This also makes game viewing to be quite near to the lodge and guests frequently report seeing the “Big Five” within sight of the lodge fence!
Thank you for your compliments on our food, we take great pride in providing the best of Kenya cuisine from our active kitchen. We are also dedicated to meeting all our guests’ needs and requests with a smile.
We look forward to hosting you and your friends in the near future.

Kind regards,
Francis Msengeti

Having never been on a safari, I was not sure what to expect from the Sarova Mara tented game camp. From the wet towels to wipe off the dust when we arrived to the luxurious tents, the entire weekend was a great experience.

Our tour company booked our stay at Sarova Mara Game Camp. It was a beautiful setting. Tents were clean and spacious with all the amenities. The meals were buffet - delicious. The outdoor was beautiful. Live Masa warrior dancing, guitar music nightly. The staff was friendly and so eager to to please.

A great place right inside the Masai Mara reserve. Good hospitality and India tourist friendly. The tents are comfortable. In some months it might get cold but it is enjoyable. The right option if you are going to Masai Mara. The prices are all inclusive as there are no other places to eat in the middle of the grassland and hence sometimes the food feels boring. Make it a point to stay closer to the restaurant area if you have kids and senior citizens with you. Overall an awesome experience.

Room Tip: Choose a room closer to the lake and the restaurant.

I pined over the decision to either go budget or upscale for my safari at the end of a 6 week backpacking trip though East Africa. I paid extra for the upgrade and I was not disappointed. I stayed here for two nights and for one at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in Lake Nakuru and I am now a huge fan of the brand. I mention both locations here to highlight how consistent my experience was. The "tent" is one of the most romantic places my wife and I have ever stayed at and the buffet meals were much better than we expected. It would be difficult to go with with this company and leave disappointed. I'll also add that the the staff at Sarova is some of the most well trained and professional I've seen anywhere.
