The lodge name has changed a number of times and this made me worry a little but on visiting I must say I fell in love with the place. I will never forget the hippo at the river just next to the lodge

At the beginning of August my partner and I did a safari in Masai Mara, we mainly wanted to see the great migrazione. On one side we were unlucky because the agency had not made the reservation at the lodge, on the other we were very lucky because we stayed at the Mara River where we met a great person, mr.Louis, and Patrick the most likeable and able guide with whom we have shared three wonderful days during which we saw so many animals including an African python of about six meters. Unfortunately we have not seen crossing of the Mara River by the wildebeest because they didn't want to cross. Even Patrik was sad about this fact, but we see also a positive aspect of this holiday because we set out to return with the hope of passing other wonderful days in search of the wonderful animals that inhabit the Savana. Thanks again to Patrick.

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this camp. The service and rooms were fantastic. This is a new property and has a very intimate feel about it. The staff our friendly and happy to meet guest requirements. The food is typical camp fare but all meals were up to standard. The tents are fantastic with the added excitement of animals frolicking through the night. Set on the Mara River, an abundance of hippos join you for breakfast on the decks each morning. Definitely recommend this place !

A co-worker and I who work in Western Kenya decided to take a weekend trip to Masai Mara and were very fortunate to stumble upon Mara River Camp. In addition to the incredible location along the Mara River, where hippos were lounging and elephants passing by, the newly renovated facility is gorgeously designed with luxurious safari tents, beautiful dining area, and a pool. Due to our limited time, the staff arranged a game drive for us on Friday afternoon (included in our stay) and a whole day game drive on Saturday. Our driver was from the local Masai village and knew the park very well and was very knowledgeable about the area. Besides the unbelievable experience of the Mara, one of the key components that make Mara River Camp worth staying at is the staff. Upon arriving, the staff was quick to welcome us and take our bags while giving us a welcome drink. The meals were delicious and we felt that we were well taken care of constantly that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves in the beautiful setting. After getting a pedicure for myself while my co-worker got a massage our trip was over. I highly recommend Mara River Camp for trips with friends, family, and couples - you are guaranteed an amazing stay.
