“Game drives above and beyond the call of duty”

Once again our stay at the Mara Intrepids was a fantastically enjoyable experience. The staff are all friendly & welcoming & the tents are clean & comfortable. The food is always good with a vegetarian option. It was particularly heart warming to be remembered by so many of the staff.
The manager Steve & his assistant Andrew took time every day to make sure that all was well & see how we were enjoying ourselves. Our waiter Tom & the others all took very good care of us & particular thanks to Maria for the early morning coffee & hot chocolate wake up call.
Our guide Joseph did an outstanding job for us, giving us excellent game drives – 4 leopards, picnics & many happy memories to cherish in the time before we can come back again.

The resort is beautiful, the tents are awesome, the staff is always there to help, the food was delicious, and the game drivers are very knowledgable. This is an experience not to be miss. I would absolutely go back!

My husband and I just spent the first part of our honeymoon at Mara Intrepids. We stayed there 4 days and had an amazing time:
- The tents are beautiful, spacious and clean, very well appointed, most with great views of the talek river, hippos, crocs and all! The furnishings are all beautiful, including bed and bedding.
-The food is plentiful and delicious, with lots of choice (mostly from a la carte menus) including for veggies. The chef does a great job catering for all tastes.
-Three game drives a day are brilliant. Our guide, Vincent, was great and very knowledgeable. Lots of wildlife to see but simply being in the beautiful Masai Mara is amazing in itself. It is breathtaking.
- Most importantly, the staff are FANTASTIC. They are all so friendly, efficient and genuine. We were so well looked after. There are not many places where the staff members remember guests names! They were all great, but a special mention to Tom and Francis, our fantastic waiters, Gideon, our lovely room steward, and Andrew, who made sure we were well looked after during our stay. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff made as much of a (positive) impact on the overall experience.
- We did the sundowner which was very special and a great way to have a personal chat with some of the staff and management - definitely worth it.
- Merging the two morning drives and having a bush breakfast is a great option.

I cannot recommend this lodge enough. It will always be a special place for us, and if we could afford it we would go back without hesitating.
We feel very lucky to have experienced Kenya and a small part of the huge amount this country has to offer.

I have never really been 'into wild animals' in any big way but liked the idea of glamping during our visit to Kenya. Within two hours of getting to the camp, settling into our luxury tent, eating a delicious lunch, we went out with Ruben and his colleague - trainee Lucas, and five minutes later were sitting watching mother and baby elephant eat afternoon tea. Sightings of giraffe, wilderbeasts, zebras, antelope , warthogs soon followed. I was hooked. Ruben was the best of teachers, telling us things about animals we never heard at school and certainly things we did not know we did not know. He and Lucas had a deep deep knowledge about every aspect of the animals who share this beautiful landscape. They tailor make each trip out to find the best sightings for the time of day. We felt safe in their hands and loved observing nature at such close quarters. They were absolute professionals, attentive to us but hugely respectful of the animals we saw. Our curiosity was aroused and they were able to answer every question we had. A highlight was to watch a cheetah as dusk fell, and the next morning, share a breakfast picnic with them watching the hippopotamus come for their morning bathe. Food was brilliant with every meal delicious, well presented by the chefs and usually involved good conversations with our waitress Maureen . Another wonderful surprise was the efforts made by manager Andrew and all the staff, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, cutting a cake made specially for us to end a wonderful meal eaten by candlelight overlooking the river.

Organised for my Mother in law for a big birthday whilst visiting Kenya - "The most amazing experience of my life. I felt safe, comfortable and welcome. The rooms were amazing - after initially being concerned about staying in a tent on my own I was pleasantly surprised. Food was 5*. All staff were friendly and personable. Loved being in the wild, and was glad I had a sleeping tablet with me. Highly recommend Dennis as Safari guide - learnt so much from him and he listened and purposefully looked for things of interest. I saw so much more than I ever imagined with Dennis. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! With all that has been going on in Kenya recently I felt totally safe flying/travelling alone to the Mara and wasn't concerned for one minute :)"

The Rahman, Huq and Hossain families had a FABULOUS holiday at Mara Interpids last year!
Our 5 tents were just lovely! Spotlessly clean and very, very comfortable.
The food was consistently good, made better by the courteous servers.
And with a very knowledgeable, keen eyed, and considerate Samson as Ranger, how could our safari have been anything but SPECTACULAR?!!
Thank you Mara Intrepids for an enchanting safari!

The resort is a perfect place in the Mara. Staff could not do enough for us. The tents are lovely and resort facilities well mantained. Game drives some of the most productive
in 5 weeks of African travel. Chief's evening seminars very informative. I will be back!
