It's location by the Reserve gate is excellent. Also a great deal for the price. A bit less variety of food and power is available only about 7 hours a day, but one has to balance this with the affordability. Overall, a great deal and provided a great rest for me and my spouse after each game drive.

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.

This is a lovely and above basic camp right by the gate to the masai mara national park. The location is unbeatable, especially for the price! The tent rooms were spacious and comfortable and 24hr hot water which was great! No wifi but that is a welcome break! The food was delicious and most of the staff were incredibly friendly. A really good spot to stop for the mara!

I can't say much about this place because they lost my reservation. But they did provide lunch and it was the best I had in Ololaimutia.

From what I hear it's one of the better budget camps in the area. But you would be advised to call ahead and reconfirm, even if you are booked through a safari operator.

This camp exceeded my expectations! Close to one of the entrances to Maasai Mara, very friendly people working there, decent tasty food both for breakfast and dinner, clean rooms/tents and comfortable beds. They made bonfire every evening which was also a great experience. Will be back when travel to Maasai Mara again.
