We stayed in Mara Bush Camp for 5 nights this month booked through Sunworld Safari based in Nairobi who owns and manages the camp. Our trip was 5 star throughout, thanks to Leslie, the chef and everyone at Mara Bush Camp who made our stay exceptional. We initially had a degree of reservation in using the local company, rather than the operator in UK, but Sunworld Safari was attentive to details, they did everything to make sure that we are comfortable in our decision. The camp has 12 tents with en-suite facility, we had lovely Robert as our 'butler' who did everything from wakeup call to filling the hot water for our shower. The camp is not fenced so we were always escorted by the masai warrior who would run so fast to you to cater for your every need.

We got on with our guide extremely well, too. We laughed a lot, saw so many wonderful wildlife, including 3 cheetah hunting, of which one took place right beside our jeep. Disappointing not to have witnessed the crossing, but that makes us want to return to Masai Mara! It rained almost every afternoon and evening, which is apparently relatively common at this time of the year in Rift Valley, but the morning was glorious. We got stuck in mud several times which we lovingly called 'Big 5'. Our guide was extremely manly (!) and we felt safe with him as he really looked after us. His social and networking skills are second to none, and they benefited us all the way!

What made our stay special? Undoubtedly the dedication and sincerity conveyed by the staff.
Their warmth and willingness to help came through naturally, and we felt very much at home.

Piece of Mind: We paid a part of the deposit with credit card to benefit from an additional European consumer protection under Section 75 (http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/can-i-claim-on-my-credit-card-when-something-goes-wrong/) and the rest by bank transfer. If you fly with European airline you are also protected under (EU Air Passenger Right http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/passenger-rights/air/)

I will not hesitate to recommend Mara Bush Camp and Sunworld Safari to anyone.

From the day we arrived to the last day, the service at Mara Bush Camp, by the river, was superb! The chef was tops, the food excellent. The Masai warriors accompanied us to our tents & lodge area when dark, with morning wake-up calls, hot coffee or tea served at wake-up. Beds made up every day, hot showers, flush toilet, real "out-of-africa" style tents. Special tents for lounging, or work-shop tent for lap tops and photography equipment with outlets for recharging batteries, etc. Leslie, the manager, was very hands on in making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Hippos, hyenas, baboons, and elephants usually around tents at night, making sounds in the night. Beds sooooo comfortable. Laundry service. Sunworld owned and operated, with best safari guides and 4x4 open top vehicles. All nestled in the African bush along side a hippo filled river. A real wildlife experience in the Masai Mara. Was with a Safari group led by Piper MacKay, world renown wildlife photographer from Los Angeles, who knows her stuff! Google her and go!

We recently spent 4 nights at the Mara Bush Camp, this was the last stop of our Safari 12 day tour, and the best was kept to last. Leslie and her team were brilliant, every member of staff welcomes you and help you to feel at home. The staff look after your every need and nothing is too much trouble and Leslie was the perfect host. The camp is on a river bank and gives you a taste of being in the bush on safari, the location is excellent for being out in the Mara. We enjoyed the "African Night" evening meal, when the food served was typical Kenyan fare, and the entertainment was great. The food was excellent, catering for our vegetarian diet perfectly. James, our driver and guide throughout our tour was brilliant, his knowledge was unbelievable and he knew exactly how to position the vehicle when an animal was on the move, he could spot them miles away, sometimes without the need of binoculars.
For anyone thinking of a Safari. we would highly recommend Sunworld Safaris both for touring and especially a stay at the Mara Bush Camp.

This was my third and fourth visit to Mara Bush Camp. I enden up visiting Mara twich this summer and of course I had to go back to stay in this beautiful camp. Leslie (the manager), Peter (the barkeeper) and the rest of the staff just know exactly how to make you feel at home in the bush. Mara Bush Camp is situated in the central Maasai Mara. beeing a photographer, I need easy access to the "action" in Mara, and this is just what you get in Mara Buch Camp. New since my last visit was a photographers lounge with access to charging 24 hrs a day. here one can sit and look at today's catch in peace and quiet. One minute and you are on the savannah! Hearing the hyenas and lions during the night just get you fully prepared for the next morning action! Mara Bush Camp is peaceful and completely free from the commercial sounds and action you find in so many lodges. Here the sounds of nature rule. There is simply no better place to stay in Maasai Mara! Many thanks to Leslie, Peter and the rest of the staff - see you next year!

have already commented in detail on the mara bush camp in previous reviews, no change so far.
had another great stay at the mara bush camp - for 8 days. great staff and management, great drives every day, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, neat accomodation, zero stress, there to be pampered by the MBC crew.
with regard to sightings, have dinner or lunch and enjoy gnus and hippos across the river, just some meters away.
leaving the camp takes you already in the middle of action, great location that camp is in. crossings at the mara river complete a great adventure, in a positive way.
and yes it is a great advantage to have the tour operater/owner at hand, because they live in nairobi. my return trip to VIE via ZUR by swiss for some time was in question, due to the fire that destroyed most of the NBO airport. with the nowaks at hand, in nairobi, i never had the feeling that anything might go wrong with my flight - and it didn't.
am ready for another stay next year - i'll be back......
