I stayed here for 2 nights with my guests From Belgium for 2 nights and the services offered are upto the best standard! At first it was like being in an hidden palace in the middle of savannah. The location along the Talek river, with such nice vegetation cover and the proximity to the Talek gate gives this facility a thump high!!!

I would urge the management to keep the fire burning for i am coming back soon for the same traquility and excellent treat!

Room Tip: All the rooms are quite, specious and awesome!

We stayed at this camp site in luxury tents. My wife is NOT the camping type, and she is quite finicky about tenting, so while living in Canada where camping in the Mountains in the Summer is everything, we have never tented in the last 35 years until this past week when we stayed for 3 nights at the Mara leisure camp site. 10 of us went on Safari and it was really good. Surprisingly, we all took to it! the peace and quite, the security, the luxury beds inside the tents with your own really nice wash rooms with stand up shower with hot water on demand, toilet, tub!! ALL GOOD!! The food was awesome too, 3 meals a day, full spread, 24/7 wi-fi in the lobby, which is a beautiful walk from the individual tents with full local very polite security guys with flashlights all over the place. Our 24 year old daughter and her brother shared a tent in the middle of nowhere and her bro would be in bed early but you know girls!! wi-fi kept her in the lobby till late at night and she was always escorted or she felt completely safe walking back to her tent at night alone. One issue is that they shut the power off! yes, power off from 9 am to 12 noon and then again from 3 pm to 6 pm. They use Solar panels. Now us Westerners who are so spoilt rotten with our 1st world problems like having power on demand 24/7, phone and fridge in the room! remember people, you are TENTING!!! in the great Rift Valley! Yes it's a small inconvenience, but the experience you gain from this far out weighs this small hiccup. We quickly got used to it, and charged our phones, Camera's and all that stuff at the right times. The Maasai culture, the plains, THE ANIMALS!! you get to see are simply awesome! We saw every animal except the Rhino, who is not native to the Rift valley, but we did get to see it - see my next review. Many thanks to Mark at Odyssey Safaris who totally convinced me to go at this time. We are seasoned travellers, but this is the 1st time we have purchased a vacation package over the phone from someone we have not seen in person, but I totally recommend Odyssey Safari's to everyone!! They are honest, they walk the talk and deliver! with fantastic 4 WD Jeeps, but please expect some minor vehicle issues. When you see the condition of the roads and the terrain, you'll be shocked that there are such few breakdown's, it's not the fault of the Hotels or the Travel group. It's the Kenyan Govt who should be putting more money towards building theses roads. Our 2 drivers/guides, Simon and Erastus were the best, so accommodating, just going totally out of there way to give us a good time. Please TIP these guys well! We in the western world are so well off compared to these poor people. We are used to going out for Supper, paying a 150-200 $$ bill and then tipping the server 15% on top of that! JUST FOR ONE MEAL!! ( sorry for screaming) but use that as a guide when you tip at the end of the trip. They go through such hardship. We left so much for them, clothes, sandals, shoes, shampoos, soaps fro all 10 of us. Overall - 100% to

Room Tip: All tents are good. A Tip when you do get to Nairobi airport! There are quite disorganized, when you...

We stayed here as part of a safari organised by Vintage Africa, its not really a camp as we stayed in a purpose built bungalow style lodge. Two rooms adjacent to each other with connecting doors - great for families. I toom my wife daughter and grandson (11 yrs) so the facilirt was ideal for us. It has a small size swimming pool idead for the middle of teh day when the safaris stop for a few hours. The place was beautifully furnised and well laid out, mosquito curtains are sut up every night which make it romantic. The food and beverage were good and the location was amazing. No TV in the room or A/C which was not a problem for us but might be for others

Room Tip: A room closer to reception may be useful as its a fair walk at night but they do provide guides. Mak...

Excellent Tents with all modern amenities. We stayed in a quad tent by the river and it was quite spacious. We were welcomed with cold towels and a refereshing fruit coctail. After that long bumpy ride into Masai Mara, there couldn't have been anything better !!!! We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every moment of it. Food was excellent and Chef Joyce went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy. A special thanks to our restaurant hostess Ann, who took special care of the kids needs during meal times. The Mara Leaisure Camp is located outside the Mara Reserve, but, that didn't bother us much. It takes about 10 minutes drive to get inside the reserve for the game drives. Free wifi available in the lobby area (who needs wifi when you are in the midst of such a paradise). The only negative thing we across during our stay was a sort of foul smell coming from the toilet , probably from the sewage pits.
Overall we had a very safe and extremely relaxing experience. Would love to get back !!!!

This is a very nice facility with a large open lobby. The food was very good. A gift shop is in the lobby.

The tented rooms generally face the river; ours faced in. The tents are large as are the bathrooms. We had a tub but didn't want to soak in questionable water. The shower was slow to get hot. We got caught in a 12 hour rainstorm so, because they rely on solar, there was no hot water. We got trapped here for 6 hours because the river crested and washed out the road

Exceptional service.

We stayed here 2 nights. The tent was roomy and comfortable. The game drives were fantastic. So many beautiful animals. The staff was great! The food was good and the desserts were delightful. For example, we had "Lake Swan's" which were tasty eclairs shaped like swans. The camp is set in the woods and is beautiful. I felt safe and relaxed there. A great experience.
