I have been in Cedars 4 or 5 times in 2013. Last time in Januany 2014. I was living in the area and some of my friends too.
Food is good. I am vegetarian. Wine is acceptable (quality) and not acceptable (price is times 5 compared with europe).
Ambience is poor despite the house could be very nice.
Norvegian owner might be the reason...
Mezze dish is the best... don't miss it if you go there.

Food is good. Price is bit high, but for good food better to spend good money. They also serve too much food. Watch out!!! Please is nice and clean. Good for high end eating.

The proprietors have definitely made an effort to cater for anyone in need of authentic cuisine, be it a nostalgic Lebanese away from home, the adventurous food enthusiast, a company of friends or business partners or a family in need of a good meal and a good time. The service is great and friendly and the atmosphere is as dynamic as you choose. There is a bar lounge and both indoor an outdoor seating - both drinks and food are served in large well decorated portions in all areas. The food is great and there is a wide variety of drinks to accompany your diverse and beyond tasteful meal. The interior and exterior decorations, visual and auditory supplements, all contribute to a great authentic Lebanese dining experience. Shisha is available if one enjoys a flavored smoke to compliment the meals and drinks. Prices are not high considering the size of portions and good service, the money is well spent and comparable to, if not cheaper than, any other exclusive restaurant in Nairobi. Cedars should be a must for residents as well as tourists, it should be a priority to pass by when in the area and have a delicious bite of authentic Lebanese dishes and drinks of your choosing. It is definitely also worth going out of your way to come to Cedars and leave feeling satisfied in all aspects; taste buds are left longing for more and one will not forget the experience and a revisit is guaranteed once you have given it a try.

The fact that the who is who in the city frequents this establishment makes the management and staff think they're 5 star and become arrogant and rude. The first time i visited i was driving a simple Toyota and the watchman wouldn't let me in,he insisted that i park outside. All this while, people in Range Rovers and other high-end cars were being let to park inside. The place isn't even that nice for starters so i don't understand the ego.

Cedars has fantastic food, but having spent 3 years in Liberia (yes, Liberia: he economy is pretty much run by Lebanese...), it was nothing special and the prices are way too high. But I guess they must be doing something right judging by the number of Mercedes, Landcruisers and even a Hummer in the car park. It must also once have been a good place for kids to play, but the plots surrounding the garden have all been developed and the garden is now overlooked by apartments and offices.
