The ambiance is excellent, good food, good service... Only negatives, the terrace gets a little chilly in July and the ladies room was messy.

Very good Italian food. There is a large choice of meal and the quality of the food is excellent.
It is owned by an Italian so you can speak italian with him !
The place is quite, clean, safe and beautiful.
The prices are correct and the staff is polite and nice.
Only negative thing: it was a bit long to get the food.

“Excellent food”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

The food was very good despite the rather average service. Go for the specials - the tuna carpaccio and seafood pasta were flawless. Service was average but I assume they are still getting used to the large venue.

“Re-opened at Nine West.....WOW”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

Medi Westlands have reopened at the new Nine West Building, opposite Sarit Centre. There is free undercover parking, and plenty of it.

Walking in to the new restaurant, you see two authentic Italian Vespa's on the wall, and a massive pizza oven covered in mosaic tiles. The whole place has such a buzz and great feel to it. You can sit inside or out on the terrace, or inside in the atrium.

The glassware is beautiful, as are the table settings. Service was very good. The wine list is far more extensive then they had before. The menu is the same.

They are open from 7 am till late, and have a separate breakfast menu.

Food was very good, as usual.

A fantastic dining experience for Nairobi. Well done Medi!!!

“Standards dropping?”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

The address given for woodvale grove is ancient history. Trip advisor needs to update and advise readers of the new address in gigiri, junction and westlands. Tried the new branch in 9 West. Was expecting great things. Why the bread was rock hard was explained as it had been sitting out for a while. So why serve it was met with the stock non committal look which I am seeing more and more in Kenyan restaurants. The owners need to look into this. The quality of the garlic butter which I normally look forward to was off as well. Teething problems? I dont think so. Clients need to be more vocal, not shy, to make a fuss to wake up the staff as full price is billed for at the end of the meal. Tried the smoked salmon, one of my favorite starters and was left chewing somehting that did not seem fresh. The salad bed was tired and there was no dill sauce. Rye bread was not supplied so once again we had to dip into the bread basket only to discover that the lower bits were hard. Haha re-served after initial hooha? The main course of pork chops was disappointing. The mash was good. Avoided dessert as tummy was feeling a bit iffy after the first two courses. Expensive, would not have minded if the food was of restaurant quality. Dont know if I will give them a second chance. The gigiri branch is still good but perhaps if you can avoid 9 west and junction.
