The concept is as long the flag on your table still remain up, you will be continue be serve with Food=Meat :), The speed of the serving is pretty fast so you won't get hungry. Waiter and waitress pretty helpful too :)

“Unique eating experience”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

The carnivore is similar to a brazilian steakhouse if you've even been. However, a major difference is the cultural infusion of Kenya into the experience. I went to the Carnivore for lunch and I was impressed. The meat is rich and tender. Lots of choices such as ostrich and ox testicles. Although, there are more conventional choices such as beef, chicken and pork. Unfortunately, game meats such as giraffe and impala are no longer offered per a 2004 law (probably a good thing in the end though). The atmosphere is good, being served continuously is always nice, especially in Kenya where service can be rather low. In terms of pricing, it's within the expected range of higher quality food in Kenya, several thousand shillings. If you are interested in going there, I would recommend organizing it through a travel agency, as they can get you a better price than through the restaurant (for whatever reason). Also, if you are interested in drinks, try to avoid falling for the dawa (medicine) trap. You can get drinks that taste just as good for several hundred shillings less. However, if you want to fully engage in the experience, buy it by all means. The carnivore was a good experience, definitely a nice refresher after months of normal Kenyan cuisine. If you in Nairobi and want a very nice meal, I would recommend the Carnivore.

“Its what your teeth are for !”
Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

We had the pleasure of eating here on last night of our trip to Kenya. My friend was born here and always had her birthdays here as a kid ! A real treat for meat eaters, they have stopped serving antelope, zebra and gazelle now tho. Meat and poultry are cooked on spears over the huge fire pit then bought to your table and sliced onto your plate. Don't know how it hasn't caught on here ! The Dawa man serves 'medicine'... Double vodka, fresh limes, brown sugar, honey and crushed ice ! Tip, Don't order potatoes, the servers come round til you say ' no more ' ! So much to choose from !

“Exotic”
Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

If you're brave enough to eat crocodile, ostrich & camel meat, just to name a few, then visit this place when you're in Nairobi. The meats are very tasty especially if you pair it with the right sauce. The waiter will tell you which sauce to use. It's quite a gastronomical experience, exotic indeed! The ultimate "Beast of a Feast", it's definitely a tourist destination.
