It's on the intersection between Kenyatta Avenue and Moi Avenue, which is among the two largest streets in Nairobi. Fee for non-residents are 200 KSH, which is remarkably low compared to other museums around here.

There's a hodgepodge of stuff inside, mainly art pieces and some introductions to their political leaders. Spent around an hour wandering through. Not especially enlightening, but hey it's there and it's cheap.

there is nothing there for an adventure lover, just a building in the middle of nairobi town, it is like making a library a tourist location

Worth a visit to have a closer look at Kenyan and African history. The collection of artifacts show tribal culture and the events leading up to independence from Colonial Britain. The archives is housed in what was once a bank. Impressive building, but time has stood still for fifty years here. Old, tired, dusty is the best description but still a good option. Entry fee of 200 shillings per person.

Even after living in Kenya for a month it is hard to get any understanding of the culture of the tribes, it is rather forgotten than discussed by most. The Archives cannot quite be compared to the National Museum, but for any interested in going deeper in understanding of the different tribes there are so few places available in Kenya so this one should not be missed.

The presentation is not so good, to get something out of it give it 1.5 hours and walk slowly (place is small) and read the signs and admire the art.

I was able to learn about both arts and history of Kenya. The displays of arts and crafts are mostly from West Africa, and this collection are really really impressive. History and politics of Kenya were also exhibited, with story of Tom Mboya.
