“No hustle and bustle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

For a coffee shop at the heart of a very busy Nairobi CBD, Kaldis offers something rare. Kimathi street boasts of numerous interlinking roads and for one seeking seclusion without the dull isolation will find themselves very much at home here. The staff are on their toes, the food portions are more than generous(and quite good if I might add) plus the ambience almost feels like a distraction away from the hustle and bustle outside the doors. I recommend this to all those looking for a nice, quiet place to have a chat over a delightful meal!

“Do not miss”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Java and Kaldis are a must when in Nairobi. Kaldis is very central, it is a chain, but this place is the only one in Kenya (they have cafés in other countries, Mexico being one of them, as a very friendly and at-service waitress explained). Since we were visiting after dinner at Ranalo foods (right next to it), I cannot say much about the food they offer. However, coffee and deserts were delicious and the ambiance was very welcoming, light greatly positioned. It is a nice place to sit and have a chat, not crowded, service fast and with a smile. Unlike small, noisy and crowded central Java, this is a spacious and pleasant café.
