Nice atmosphere and one gets to see the small planes close by as they land or take off. It has a garden & pool and peaceful ambiance except on weekends (especially Sundays) when families bring in kids to eat, swim & run around. The food & service is good here.

Well, you can visit the place, have a wonderful meal, kids can enjoy the little pool and the playground area as well as look at the planes land and take off. Nice relaxing place to chill out.

Located at Wilson Airport the Aero Club offers a few rooms for members and a quick lunch or in between meal and drinks for those connecting flights at Wilson. The pictures and stuff on the wall makes it almost a museum but for the living frequenting it ...

The chicken wings are the best here! Never too busy so the service is quick and a nice chill out. This is a place that is also full of aviation history.

Wilson Aero Club is at the Wilson Airport, near downtown Nairobi, and very near: The entrance to Nairobi National Park, for a car safari or zoo-type experience, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can see baby elephants being fed, and the "Giraffe Center", where you can feed the giraffes by hand (or mouth) and see warthogs. It is a British-type of old fashioned Flying Club.

The WAC has a lot of 20th century memorabilia, including a Rolls Royce Supermarine Spitfire engine, and lots of photos and records of famous local aviators, including Beryl Markham and historical characters from "Out Of Africa".

They serve food and drink, have a children's play area, have bungalow-type hotel rooms, and you can watch the planes take off at Wilson Airport, the old main airport for downtown Nairobi. At Wilson they have scheduled and charter flights on turboprops and piston airplanes to the nearby areas, including the Masai Marsa.

You can also sometimes meet interesting local pilots here, and hear all kinds of interesting East African flying tales. Friday night is busiest, and then Saturday night.
