“A modern business hotel with African charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

The Best Western Hotel in Nairobi represents a classy business accommodation without the soulless feeling a business traveler usually faces. The Hotel combines high quality with comfort and service, which is rare in East Africa. Comfortable rooms, modern design, very friendly and competent staff as well as a great location will definitely make this Hotel our regular choice for business, maybe even family trips to Noarobi. We are looking forward to our next stay.Thank you to all.

The Best Western Premier is not centrally located which may be why it can afford to charge considerably less than other top-line hotels in town. The hotel is a modern, medium-sized property so staff will get to know you. There is good security. Rooms are comfortable and the plumbing is first rate. It is a non-smoking property although my room had some residue of cigaret odor. There is a concierge on duty most of the time who, like the rest of the staff, is eager to serve and friendly. Sometimes you need to ask for something twice, but it does get done. The restaurant, Pablo's, has good food, not great, but a nice variety including a few Indian dishes. Breakfast is included (at least it was for me). There is a gym, pool and open-air bar on the roof with a lovely view of Nairobi. There are taxis waiting at the door when you need to go somewhere.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable! Service is very good and staff friendly. Pitty about the extra charge for room service. Our room is a bit noisy, but at least we can enjoy a coffee in the morning outside, so we'll take that! Both restaurants downstairs and upstairs are good and has good service. Cappucinos takes longer upstairs because the machine is downstairs. Pool and restaurant area on the roof which makes a very nice atmosphere and a beautifull 360 degree view, love it! Need to speak clearly when ordering food as our accents can confuse the order, so ask to repeat your order. Enjoy the taxi service at hotel, always available! Keep it up BW!

We stayed two nights at this hotel before and after our safari in the Mara. We were very relieved to arrive at a clean, hospitable hotel with excellent service.

The hotel is well located - close enough to the airport - and is very safe and secure.

The rooms are neat and tidy and first-world standard.

The only comment to make is that they were short of irons in the hotel rooms and could not seem to provide us with one. Not a major issue!

Would happily stay here again or perhaps look somewhere in Karen - a nice suburb in Nairobi - just for proximity to restaurants and other expat communities.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in Nairobi. We booked two rooms with balcony, but the hotel only has 3 rooms with balcony. Fortunately we got one of these. The staff is very friendly, efficient check-in and helpful. The rooms clean, new, good aircon.
The pool at the 7th floor is not used a lot for sunbathing but it works very well for sunlovers. The pool is very cold but refreshing!
It has all of the important amenities for a traveller: comfortable bed, hot shower, fast internet, and a great breakfast buffet. The resturant serves good food for a reasonable price for lunch and dinner.
We will recommend this hotel to our friends. The security is very good and also very good that the hotel has own marked taxi's. We used these all the time for pick up when going back to the hotel after outings.

As a frequent traveler to Kenya (I work for a NGO and travel to Kenya several times a year), I am always on the lookout of good mid-range hotels in Nairobi. Hotels in Nairobi tend to either be cheap and extremely basic, or very nice, but overpriced. The Best Western Premier might just be the first nice hotel in Nairobi that is a good value. I booked my room ahead of time online and got a rate of $130 plus tax - not bad considering older "luxury" hotels in Nairobi can cost of $300 a night. The hotel looks very new - I think it only opened several months ago. It has all of the important amenities for a business traveler: comfy bed, hot shower, fast internet, and a great breakfast spread. In addition, the hotel has an excellent gym with a beautiful view over the city and a rooftop swimming pool and bar. Service was excellent and the location of the hotel is conveniently located in the Hurlingham area of the city.

The only faults I could find with the Best Western Premier was the quality of the food at the restaurant - it was not bad, but tended to be fairly bland. The hotel's decor was modern and high quality, but lacked the character that you might find at an older hotel.

The Best Western Premier is certainly a great addition to the Nairobi hotel scene, and as long as they keep their prices reasonable, it will be my base in Nairobi for years to come!

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper floors have a great view of Nairobi. If you are staying for more than a few...

I do not recommend the hotel to anyone. while we are checking out, a group of guys came to reception (check-out desk) and try to pull us to go with them on front of Hotel security and staff. we refused and told them what do you want? To us they looks like thieves ; but they refuse to say. they insist on to go with them ...to make the story short we did not move from the reception and we called the hotel duty manager. we told him how they enter the hotel with your security . we almost also missed our flight.
