Before visiting Kiota Place I had never stayed in a guesthouse - so I wasnt sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.
I needed a place to stay near Kasarani and Kiota place is less than 10 mins by car. The rooms were clean, clean new mosquito nets were provided and the bed linen and towels excellent, as was breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Monica who went out of her way to help and the driver doubled up as my taxi man. Kiota place is set in a quiet residential area with good security although I was a bit surprised to be the only occupant of the house for the two nights I stayed. I stayed at the height of the hot season and didn't really want to open my windows becasue of mosquitos and security but it was too stuffy to sleep with them closed - a fan in the room would be a good idea. There is a good wireless connection and for evening meals there is a Galitos chicken 5 mins by car or the Village Market a little further away.
