I spend almost 3 days in and around KICC to attend an exhibition. I wont say much about this place. It is ok and view is good for first look. However, you wont find variety of food, in an exhibition there are around 1000 people but to feed them there is just one restaurant. Even most of the time they are out of stock for food. I

If you are a skyscraper lover and you are in Nairobi, I think you wouldn't miss this building.
Located very much in the city centre or CBD, this building has a unique look as you can see from many photos and probably as iconic as some of the few attractions in Nairobi.
Parking charges are quite high in the KICC parking lot, KES 500 !! So, better to reach there by taxi or foot (if you are staying in 1000/1500 mtr distance).
The exhibition centre is on the left side if you face the building and the tall cylindrical building houses many offices.
Entry fee for foreigners is KES 600 and locals KES 200, to be paid at the reception. The building and the accessories like elevator etc are bit worn out and shows little lack of maintenance.
Need to reach 27th floor and from there to the 31st floor by stairs and to the roof at 32nd floor by round steel stairs.
Once you reach the top, the view is pleasing and you would want to spend more and more time out there. Nairobi clouds are bit closer than anywhere else and here on the top you feel them even closer. Take few snaps at the helipad over there.
360 degree panoramic view of Nairobi is there for you and keep guessing the places that you have visited or would be going to visit from there.
P.S. Could be difficult to reach with touch children or infants.

Nairobi has come far .. I think it is time to give KICC a facelift. The facilities and the location are brilliant, just some fresh paint and equipment ...

If you want to start exploring a new city you have to do this from above. The KCC tower, the signature building of Nairobi, is a very suitable location to do this. Enter the Kenyatta International Conference Centre from the City-Hall Way or Harambee Ave., go trough the security (don't forget your passport), pay the small entrance fee, take the lift to floor 27, than 2 more floors on steps to the helicopter platform to the 29th floor and enjoy the breathtaking view of Nairobi. After back 'on earth' relax a little while in front of the building (the side to the city hall) before you enter the city again to explore it on the ground
