My hubby ordered for a pizza which one of the ingredients was ham and it was outright off and from the two mouths full he had was enough to give him food poisoning and he even stated vomiting 30 mins after consumption, I called the Angelo(manager) and he denied everything. It was very very disheartening and above all he made us pay. Lets say what goes around comes around, I feel deep inside like taking legal action, lets get this Xmas over and done with and ill let him pay for his big blunder. I'll keep you updated on how it's going. Irene.

We had an anniversary dinner for our friends. It was their 6th wedding anniversary and we were a party of 10.
Fire place, private room, recommended food for the entire group, wonderful wine and a delicious Tiramisu cake mmmmwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
The service was excellent and I would be glad to go back again and again and take another celebration there!
It was a very romantic setting with the dimmed lights, we could make as much noise as we wanted without interrupting other patrons. All I can say is that it is a little Italian country in a wonderful African country called Kenya, nestled in a quiet, safe and serene neighborhood called Karen

We dine at Osteria regular basis, since it is very close to our home. Osteria is located in Karen, away from all noisy traffic and dusty roads. Osteria is a chain, another branch is located in Runda, Village Market.İt is surrounded by beautiful big trees. Restaurant also has a pool where kids enjoy swimming, on Sunday's there is a brunch and for kids they have a big jumping castle. Restaurant itself is small, but since weather is always very nice, do not need an indoor dining area anyway. Outside dining area is spacious enough and it never feels crowded . Food is very good, especially oven pizzas. While you dine manager comes and check on you. We even met the owner, who was very friendly and warm. During the weekends, especially for lunches you may want to make a reservation.

It is a wonderful location in Karen for an Italian restaurant but it needs far more than that to become a leading restaurant in Karen. we wanted to enjoy grilled tilapia and red snapper fillet with fresh and steamed vegetables and a mixed side salad. But, honestly, the chef did not prepare it well the three fish dishes were dry and overcooked, the vegetables were not fresh and actually the whole meal was a total disappointment. When you love wine then you shall ask for the wine list because the waiters try to sell to you the most expensive wines in their store, a chianti red, 2009, for EUR 70.00 !!! The waiters are not helpful and without expertise by selecting the right wine for the meal. Imagine no grappa available in an Italian restaurant. Waiters are chatting their time away in front of the customers and sitting at diners tables. A sad experience and I advise customers to be very particular about their meal and wine choice.

My second trip to Osteria. Having been to many resturants in Italy I beleive that this is as close to legit Italian as one can get without being in Italy. (In the US) Olive Garden is good food but it is not a real italian resturant, Ostaria is. Great wide selection, good wine list, italian beers and a great atmosphere plus great service and fair prices.
