It was a very unique experience, there were no menus available just a verbal selection of what had been prepared on the day. The selection that day was ok, many chicken dishes were available and we tried two out of the selection. We had butter chicken and methi; it is authentic in that the sauces are rich and spiced well, with chicken thigh and wings. You do need to ask for rice as the dishes do not come with it, and if it wasn't on the verbal menu, it isn't available and takes time to cook. I would enquire from the start if I were to go again. We had roti, which is fine as a bread selection. The ambience is unique in that it is almost diner like in atmosphere, set in the remnants of an old Victorian Hotel. It has a certain charm about it, and it would be interesting to view during the day when you can see the outer grounds. This restaurant does allow smoking in the building, so if you are a non smoker, you may find it offensive, although it is quite open aired in a good portion of the facility.
