“Really accommodating staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014 via mobile

I was a bit sick while I was there, so I had to order for room service which comes at an extra fee. However, when they realized I couldn't leave my room for meals due to my condition, they stopped charging me for the room service.
I was in a standard room which was quite spacious, the breakfast improved greatly with each day, the shower was amazing, and the staff were friendly. However, they were a bit to inquisitive about my condition. Lol!!! All in all it was a pleasant experience and I will most definitely return. This time without any physical trauma. :-)

I spent 14 nights here in Feb 2014, and the experience was very nice. Hotel staff are very nice and responsive to your requests. I had a standard room, which was plenty big, always clean, with all parts working well (hot water, TV, etc.). It included breakfast, which was always a nice plentiful spread of food. The dinner was also very good, but not included. The Internet was "pretty good": not perfect but certainly as good if not better than my experience with other Nairobi hotels. I recommend it!

I can't find anything good to say about this hotel. On a recent (few hour) visit for a day room before a late night flight, our reservation wasn't in the system, the manager had no customer service skills and only persistence on our part got him to agree to let us have a room despite the fact that the hotel appeared to be almost empty. The room was hot without AC, the hotel was expensive and the restaurant attached was terrible. Everything in the hotel was in Chinese. Altogether, an extraordinary experience. The management & owners need to pay attention!

We had a dayroom at this Chinese owned and run hotel. The reception was an example of poor customer service denying our booking, all the instructions are in Chinese, there was no AC in the room and the restaurant was one to avoid. The one good thing was the shower which was very good. It was expensive so poor value for money. Would we go there again? Absolutely not.

would I choose this hotel again? No! it is chinese owned, so even the remote control had information in chinese. food is a mix of chinese - african (weird combination). but most important, not very clean and very, very noisy. there is a bar next door that blasts music from Thursday to Saturday. also, no AC or heat... there is a mall close by with a supermarket, but an interesting street needs to be crossed to get there. Not worth the money. One good thing? Service! the people are soooo nice!

Room Tip: away from the disco and from the street, if you can find it (the 401, for example, might be the best...

I hadn't heard about this hotel prior to my stay there, so I was not sure what to expect - my google search did reveal that it was a chinese hotel. I stayed at the hotel for a week in April, 2013. The rooms are clean and comfortable and make for a good nights rest. My first two days were faced with adjusting to the breakfast menu that did not provide a variety for those without experience with chinese food. Similar challenges were experienced with the lunch time menu, service was slow and variety of food was limited. However for the lunch menu, there was improvement as the week progressed. Faced a similar experience with the variety of television channels, that were mainly oriental. The bar is overpriced and not pocket friendly, service is also quite slow. However, the staff at the reception are friendly and quick to provide service when need be, there's also good wifi. Location is ideal if you want to keep off the central business district.
