In spite of Nairobi's increasing expansion and population, this is still a place where, with a bit of luck, you can see a fair sample of Kenya's wildlife except for elephants. It is however under serious threat since it is surrounded by the city and the remaining corridor in and out of it is increasingly used for agricultural and horticultural expansion and road infrastructure. Its wildlife population varies according to the seasons but we have seen some wonderful things there on our many visits including lions, cheetah, even a leopard, rhino, plains game, birds,...). Definitely worth a visit, especially for visitors to Nairobi with no time to visit the more distant parks.
